The dining in the place was reasonable. The surroundings are very pleasant. Try not to go when it is too busy

Went to the Golf Club for the first time last weekend. Saturday night was busy and the service suffered appropriately, however on the whole, I was pleasantly surprised. The entrees arrived fairly quickly and my husband and I enjoyed the Antipasto Share Plate which was reasonable value. My daughter loved her Parmesan Bread which she pronounced as "Yummy". It was however a while until our mains came. The Coal Roasted Beef was tasty but a little bit colder than I would have liked and slightly overcooked. My husband thought that the Pork Belly was great, but daughter is too old for the kids menu and wasn't thrilled with the chicken. We shared the Dessert Tasting Plate and whilst it seemed like better value, it didn't knock my socks off. Overall it was good for a local night out and definitely better than your usual pub fare, but not sure if I would choose it for a special occasion. The price tag made me think that we could have got more bang for our buck, but hey, this isn't exactly the most upmarket part of town in a foodie sense. I prefer the Mango Hill Tavern.

Approximate cost: $175

I had high hopes for this place having visited other newer big estate gold clubs to eat at, however I was dissapointed. The inside dining venue seems a bit dingy, although the outside it not bad. The food was pretty average, the starter we had was okay, but the pizza I had for my main was dry and tasteless.

Approximate cost: $20

Hi adrienneh hopefully for your sake it was just a bad visit. I haven't seen the wedding reception room I gather it's nicer than the main dining area.

They had a picnic on the lawn day, we got more than ten people together and wanted to make an afternoon of it. We are all new to North Lakes and were keen to check it out. I called a fortnight before the event to ensure we could take our own picnic lunches and was advised we could. On walking towards the golf club we were stopped and told we could not bring our picnic baskets in!! I was so embarrassed and could not believe after being told it was fine to BYO food, we now could not enter the premises. We ended up having a picnic in our backyard. After emailing the general manager he did say it was their first event and room for improvement.

How very disappointing for you, but it's nice that you made the most of your day and still enjoyed your picnic.

We frequent the North Lakes Golf Club often and we aren't golfers. We enjoy the food and the surroundings of the golf club, so we will go there for lunches.
We also had our wedding reception there and could not fault the service. The staff looked after us as though we were royalty.
