I recently purchased a group buying voucher and made an appointment to use the voucher. However, despite having spoken to the stylist over the phone about my expectations over the phone, i was surprised and upset when the stylist wanted to add $80 surcharges on top of the $100 voucher i had already purchased to get a full head of foils. Only half of the surcharges were stipulated in the Ts and Cs. The rest were simply added on during consultation. It was very poor service and i felt that it was false advertising. I left not getting my hair done and very upset

I purchased a 2-Hour pamper package which described clearly that I would receive massage and facial 90mins and then hair wash and blow wave for 30mins.
The massage&facial finished under 60mins. She left the room for a good 10mins while I waited and then rushed in and her movements started off quite frantic. There was none of that calming feel you would normally get. The actual facial products felt great but she was a little bit rougher than other places I've been to. And the massage while great pressure just felt all too rushed. Then I was led to the hair salon area and got my hair washed but was left to wait 15-20mins for the blow dry. So for the 2-hour pamper package i was promised, I felt like I only received about 1.5hours.
Positives- the blow wave was amazing and my hair looked great all of Saturday AND Sunday!
Coffee was great, and the decor is lovely. Would i go again? No , probably not unfortunately.

This used to be my favorite place back in high school days because it's big, on the corner, everyone knows where it is. Went recently and was so disappointed!!! The food standard has dropped a lot. the flavours aren't quite hitting the right spot. I think they changed chefs??? Not sure. But it was the worst broken rice ever. It's the first Springvale restaurant that i've been to where the portion was very small. My broken rice dish was disappointing - pork chop was about the size of my iPhone and came with a patheitic slice of cucumber. The rest of my family wasn't that impressed with their dishes either.

This is a fantastic place for great Vietnamese food and for amazing prices. Yes its hustle bustle and you probably walk out smelling like food but the flavours are wonderful. Serving sizes are generous and you get that great authentic experience. I love going for the flame-grilled chicken vermecelli. It's a nice healthier option as its just rice noodles, mixed with salads and a nice piece of grilled chicken. Great for lunch and dinner.
I probably wouldnt recommend the duck, it's a bit meatless and I was hungry 30mins after. Everything else is pretty good. Service is fast and done in that "asian" way. It's a bit abrupt but not to offend, that's just the way they like to do it, fast and efficient so that you're in and out. Remember the place isn't that big, meals are fairly cheap so they make money on having high turnover. I'm cool with that for a good feed for $10 on average.
Oh don't forget to try the apple custard smoothie.

The bagels here are awesome!!!!! I love the chicken ones and the smoked salmon for my savoury lunch. Then after i like to share either the blueberry one with jam and sour cream (YUM!!!!!) or the cinammon with butter. The savoury bagels are great for dining in and good value for money. I would recommend taking the sweet ones for takeaway for $1 and getting the condiments from your own fridge as an economical solution. it's easy to toast and serve at home.
I love the ambience of the place. One time me and my girlfriend stayed for 3 hours nibbling on bagels and having coffee and tea. It's definitely a great place for a bagel fix.

Seriously the best place for a souvlaki. The flavours are spot on. I love that after eating it you dont feel disgusting like you've eaten a bunch of bad fatty meat. The lamb is actual lamb pieces and not some mince mixture like you get with kebabs. I've never tried the chicken souvlaki because its lamb all the way. I go for the basic garlic sauce and its always delicious, consistent every time. The bread is always toasty and soft. Only bad thing is its hard to get a table but for $10 takeaway meal, don't be precious and go find a park bench and devour that souvlaki straight away while its still hot!

My experience as a bride to be looking for a cake....

Firstly I turned up to my scheduled appointment right on time. They were a little busy and noone acknowleged my presence til about 5mins then I got seated in the corner lounge. I was waiting for about 10mins when I had to get up and ask if the cake consultant was ready to see me and they said another 5 mins. I waited ANOTHER 10mins before they announced she would be coming and they did offer a coffee at this point which was nice but a little bit late.
The cake consultant wasn't very apologetic for keeping me waiting 20mins and offered excuses that she wasn't busy. I was not impressed at this point. Then her knowlege on the cakes weren't that great and she had no helpful suggestions but had way too many albums to show me and none of the photos were categorised for ease of use. I can't even remember the pricing because I immediately crossed them off my list in fear of the service I would receive if I had ordered my cake through them. The cakes tasted very very average and lacked anything special.

Great trendy cafe. The waiters are always friendly/flirty and they will remember your name. The coffee here is always good. I really enjoy the chicken salad. Its a good sizing but a bit pricey for lunch time - very filling though b/c you get a lot of chicken. Some of the cakes are really good like the chocolatey ones but the cupcakes and macarons need improving. Had a macaron and it was so dry it just crumbled every where after one bite. Ambience is nice and i recommend booking a table b/c it does get busy.

A gorgeous cute French styled cafe with white wooden chairs and cushions, cute plants in watering cans, over sized clock on the wall, and a view of the pastry chefs hustling and bustling behind in the kitchen. This is my new favorite cafe and a great place for catching up with your girlfriend on a Sunday morning. We shared a few things on our first visit - chicken avocado baguette, cheese mushroom galette - absolutely delicious and simple! the strawberry cream macaron was a party in my mouth i actually moaned at how good it was. It compares favorably to the ones you get at Laduree in Paris. The almond croissant was fresh out of the oven so i had to have one of those as well and that was divine. The coffee was just spot on perfect!!! Can't wait to try more things on my 2nd visit. It is a busy spot at lunch so i would try going there a bit earlier for a morning tea or brunch to avoid the crowd. The pricing is OK for a place in Brighton.

I bought a $29 voucher for a haircut and thought I'd give it a try. The stylist is a cute Japanese/Korean(?) girl who doesn't speak much english but she was very sweet. I was quite happy wtih my haircut and for that price which included a scalp treatment. She took her time removing my split ends but was also careful to not take too much length away. I think I would go back again for some maintenance cuts.
