Used to come here a lot with the family because it has classic, great tasting Cantonese food. However, it is fairly expensive for classic Cantonese dishes.
I love the roast duck as it's crispy and full of flavors. Bbq pork and ribs are fantastic aswell. Its well known forcits roast meat takeaway.
Approximate cost: $30
family dinner place to go, but it is rather pricey, very tasty in a variety of dishes to choose from..
The food is pretty expensive in this Glen Waverley area. I've ordered a fried rice and it cost around $18. Since it's a take away, I wanted some chilli oil. They wanted to charge me $0.50 for chilli oil where most restaurants don't charge. Can't believe small business is doing it tough and even charges for chilli.
Approximate cost: $18
recently had dinner with family at Ocean King, ordered two dishes and a soup. food were generally good but slightly pricier than other restaurants nearby. Would try again but would not be frequent due to its prices.
Approximate cost: $24
This place is a family favourite. The roast duck is a special mention, crispy skin with sweet sour sauce. Would also highly recommend the Monk's supreme, a combination of crunchy and silky vegetarian portions, and don't go pass the seafood in bird's nest, which is seafood on bed of cripsy fried noodles shaped liked a bird's nest. Have not been disappointed by any of their dishes to date (and I've been consistently coming here over 5 years) and service is prompt and hassle-free. We are usually served free soup before our dinner dishes and dessert soup after. A definitely enjoyable experience especially in winter!
Approximate cost: $25
This place serves some decent cantonese foods, my fave is the crispy roast pork. From time to time we would order fresh whole fish steamed with onions and ginger. Prices are resasonable and appreciate the free teas and pork bone soup.
One of our families favourite local Chinese restaurants. The prices aren't overly expensive and the serving sizes and flavours are above average. The staff here are quite attentive and clear away dishes as you finish them.
Been here a few times for dinner now. All in all pretty much your usual average Chinese restaurant. Prices aren't overly expensive. The BBQ meat here is above average. The Beef dish we had used too much baking soda to tenderize the meat. Pork dish was also undercooked.
My family love coming here for dinner. The roast pork etc at the front is a highlight. We tend not to eat that within the restaurant but on the way out, they never fail to tempt us and we end up taking some home too.
They do specials with abalone and shark fin that are great value. So if you feel like a bit of indulgence, go there for some cheap deals.
The food on the menu is extensive and covers most standard dishes, as well as some new ones that they created. I find those pretty interesting and worth my money to try them.
