I am writing this review 7 weeks after my visit to Sophia Lashes which I found through facebook ads. I wanted to give the lashes enough time before writing this review.

Bella was my lash technician and she was very patient and gentle throughout the entire process. Given this was my first experience with lash extensions, she recommended the lash length that I could choose from and within 50-60 minutes I was done and left with amazingly natural looking set of lashes (I had the natural set done) which even my mother in law complimented as looking very natural (which is rare!).

My eyes, although not immediately after the application, did sting a little but nothing that was unbearable.

The first few days, there were a couple of lost lashes that came off however that subsided after the first few days. The after care of the lashes itself took while to get used to as it was basically like wearing mascara 24/7 meaning rubbing eyes first thing in the morning, rubbing face/eyes while in shower washing face were all highly not recommended. However it all paid off as 7 weeks later, although it is a lot more sparse now (I'd say a good 80% have fallen off now), the lash extensions are still attached and not looking too odd yet.

I highly recommend Sophia Lashes and have already referred a number of friends and family to Sophia Lashes. I know I'll definitely will be back again!

I got my wedding flowers and floral centrepieces from Helen Dillon Florist. I dealt directly with Helen firstly via emails and found she was willing to work within budgets and tailor the flowers to meet the budget set without deterring from the overall look and feel of the inspirational image I had sent her whereas others had to entirely change the overall look and feel in order to meet my budget.

Upon our first consultation, even though I didn't have a clear idea of what exactly I wanted and could only describe the overall theme and look and feel I wanted on the day, Helen managed to work her magic and created exactly what I wanted.

My bouquet was the biggest one I had ever seen at a wedding. In hindsight, the bridesmaid's bouquet size would have been more than enough (and cost me half as much).

I received many compliments on the floral centrepieces on the day as well as the weeks after the wedding with some exclaiming I must have spent in the two hundreds per centrepiece (I spent just under $100). On the night, many of the floral centrepieces went home with the guests.

Overall a very fairytale like experience with Helen Dillon Florist and I would highly recommend her services to any bride to be.

The restaurant is located on ground floor of the Rialto tower and can be entered both from within the Rialto tower as well as from the Collins St entrance. The restaurant is quite large with a ground floor and an upper floor. On Fridays, it was hard to get a seat even for just two people (best book in advance) but on weekdays I found it wasn't quite as busy and I could just walk in.

I came here after my friend raved about their shao long bao being the 'best' in Melbourne. I'm usually a fan of Hutong's shao long bao's in Melbourne and have had Din Tai Fung's shao long bao in Sydney which are very very good. And I must admit, Mr Huang Jin's shao long bao's are now my favourite in Melbourne and remind me of Din Tai Fung's.

What makes it better than Hutong for me is how thin the dumplings skin are and less oily their pan fried dumplings are in comparison to those at Hutong. At Hutong, I couldn't really tell the difference between the meat filling in the shao long bao compared to the pan friend dumpling but at Mr Huang Jin it is very obvious that it's different.

The one thing that may put people off is the price. Hutong is a very cheap eat whereas at Mr Huang Jin, you would be expecting to pay almost $2 for a bite size shao long bao.

We booked 2 months in advance for a Saturday dinner booking. Parking was available on the street or on the side streets. Majority of them were 2 hour spots, however because we arrived in the evening, we were able to park there for the rest of the night.

We had the 8 course menu which was the default choice for weekend bookings. I can understand why many would think the money isn't quite worth what was served. One course was of cucumbers and another was a potato. And I admit even I had to justify what it was that we were paying for; the fresh ingredients from the restaurants own garden, the techniques and combination of elements to create each dish. Many of the dishes had very interesting combinations of ingredients that would not have made sense logically but in the tasting palette it somehow did work together.

The customer service was impeccable here. Although it did feel a little strange that they walked you to the restrooms and waited around for you to finish. All the serving staff presented each dish and even advised how it was best eaten. It was also a nice touch where they take the group to the garden to view where the produce comes from.

Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. But I'd probably save this for special occasions only.

I hired a mini twin tub slurpee machine for the kids for our family Christmas party this year. The price was competitive and support was excellent (even though I called on christmas day!). The machine was delivered and picked up as per communicated. Best part was there was no surcharge despite it being for Christmas. The kids had a blast with the machine. Would definitely recommend Passiontails to friends and use them again for future party requirements!

I went with a group of friends using a Groupon voucher for a 6 course meal which worked out to be a bargain at less than $20 per person. The staff there were very friendly and attentive, big thumbs up to them.

The restaurant itself stands along the street among other stores. The atmosphere is of a very casual nature and would be great for catch ups with friends.

I had high expectations due to the high percentage of great reviews which weren't quite met (entirely my own fault) but with that said the meal itself was actually tasty and would be great for a casual outing with friends/family. The stand out dish for me was the Massamum Curry and Pad Thai (with choice of either chicken, pork, beef or vegetarian for both).

One of the best cupcakes I've had around the CBD (and I've tried quite a few!). The large variety of flavours causes me to stand there for awhile thinking which one I should get each time! I find they're a great office brightener any day of the week.

Located in hardware lane amongst other restaurants. I can't say the store stands out amongst all the others but the food was surprisingly good. This was unexpected after reading the reviews on other websites. I've been there twice now and the taste of the food is consistent. Best part is they use lean meat. Will definitely go again.

This review is for Ringo Curtain Service, Doncaster East VIC

A family friend recommended Ringo Curtain Service to me when we needed blinds installed. Ringo gave me one of the lowest quote I received out of the three companies I went to. Ringo was professional and offered his advice on the type of blind/curtain and colour when we were stuck with the many choices we had. Any issues we had were addressed promptly. Ringo is a bit of a perfectionist himself so when he saw any abnormal blind roll up, he took back the blind to identify the issue and came back to install it once it was rectified. Highly recommended!
