I recently booked in for the IPL Skin Rejuvenation to treat broken capillaries under my eye, around the nose and mouth. The results have been brilliant . . . This treatment works and as suggested by Melissa, 4 treatments will give you the desired results. I have been visiting O’Hara’s now for several years, and couldn’t fault anything. Melissa has looked after me so well (even putting up with my snoring while having a lovely facial lol). It is spotlessly clean, and they have a wide range of services available, at reasonable prices, with numerous specials. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favour, and make a booking, you won’t regret it.

I had my 1st Plasma Fibroblast treatment in my under eye area on Fri 3rd Jul 2022. As soon as I got home I immediately started using the Aspects Soothing cream liberally and often. It was very painful and tender once the numbing cream wore off and it was painful to touch the area. But you need to push through this to gently apply the soothing cream.
1 Day post treatment I had quite bad swelling in the treatment area which migrated to my upper eye area which appeared to be worst after a nights sleep. This lasted for 3 Days post treatment (Sat, Sun & Mon).
Mon morning I was a little concerned as the swelling still hasn’t improved. (I was sure I would have to work from home on Tues as there was no way I was going to work in that state) However, almost by magic the swelling substantially reduced by the afternoon.
I was finally able to wash my face (48hrs / Day 3 post treatment) and that’s when I started to see the result. My skin was definitely smoother, the fine lines were certainly reduced and the skin had started to tighten.
At Day 4 Post treatment I returned to work and was able to wear makeup, I started with a light layer of the soothing cream as a base followed with mineral makeup as recommended.
For the first time in 17yrs I didn’t wear concealer and didn’t even need to.

-MY TIPS-
1. Take Panadol just before treatment and post treatment to assist with the pain. Don’t use ibuprofen before or for 24hrs post treatment. The anti-inflammatory interferes with the treatment process and you definitely don’t want that. . Not going to lie, it is very painful once the numbing cream wears off. Like a really bad sunburn if not worse. But I had it in a very sensitive area. This settles down after 24hrs.

2. Use the soothing cream as often as you can manage it. It really does help speed up the healing process, and soothes the angry treatment area. It really is a godsend. At 4 Days post treatment I hardly had any of the plasma crust left in the area. Just some little patches that were taking a bit longer to heal.

3. DO NOT pick the crusts! These must fall away naturally otherwise you could cause scarring which will take much longer to heal and fade. Gently washing your face after 48hrs post treatment. This will help to clean some of plasma crusts away as well as clean away the layers of old soothing cream.

I’m now at 8 Days post treatment and I don’t look as tired and the skin most definitely looks smoother and youthful so I’m really impressed by the results so far and I can’t wait to see it continue to improve over the next 2 weeks.

I have my 2nd session booked end of Aug 2022 and I’m really excited to see the results.

I’ve found a skincare clinic that is knowledgeable, professional, has extensive treatments available, and has the amazing skincare practitioner, Tegan, working there! Tegan has 17 years experience and really cares about her job. Now in my mid-forties, my skin has become super dry and sensitive over the last few years, and I was at the end of my tether when I finally made the call to O’Hara’s. Tegan fitted me in for a skin analysis, then developed a unique prescription to begin my care. I’ve had 2 facials since then, which have been absolutely amazing. Highly recommend O'Hara's. I went in on a Saturday for the plasma pen below my eyes and ended up doing below my mouth as well. The treatment was all explained in detail and expected outcome over the next few months. Have noticed a massive difference in my skin and am so happy I did it. Its a bit of a hike from where I live but well worth the travel. Treat yourself or improve what you want to change, these are the experts to call.

I wouldn’t recommend the treatment as of yet as I have not seen any change yet but the girls were lovely very helpful lovely clean body clinic very welcoming definitely have passed on what other services you provide hopefully I will be back

Great service by Melissa. She offered the bronsun brow when I wasn't sure on dyes and explained the products she used. I was extremely pleased with the end result.

Melissa was my consultant for the plasma fibroblast procedure.
After 2 weeks, healing has occurred and I have fresh tighter skin around my neck area.

It was quite badly sun damaged and now appears much softer.

I recommend this treatment and Melissa to anyone wanting a fresher younger looking skin.
