I have been visiting O’Hara’s now for several years, and couldn’t fault anything. Melissa has looked after me so well (even putting up with my snoring while having a lovely facial lol). It is spotlessly clean, and they have a wide range of services available, at reasonable prices, with numerous specials. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favour, and make a booking, you won’t regret it.

I had my 1st Plasma Fibroblast treatment in my under eye area on Fri 3rd Jul 2022. As soon as I got home I immediately started using the Aspects Soothing cream liberally and often. It was very painful and tender once the numbing cream wore off and it was painful to touch the area. But you need to push through this to gently apply the soothing cream.
1 Day post treatment I had quite bad swelling in the treatment area which migrated to my upper eye area which appeared to be worst after a nights sleep. This lasted for 3 Days post treatment (Sat, Sun & Mon).
Mon morning I was a little concerned as the swelling still hasn’t improved. (I was sure I would have to work from home on Tues as there was no way I was going to work in that state) However, almost by magic the swelling substantially reduced by the afternoon.
I was finally able to wash my face (48hrs / Day 3 post treatment) and that’s when I started to see the result. My skin was definitely smoother, the fine lines were certainly reduced and the skin had started to tighten.
At Day 4 Post treatment I returned to work and was able to wear makeup, I started with a light layer of the soothing cream as a base followed with mineral makeup as recommended.
For the first time in 17yrs I didn’t wear concealer and didn’t even need to.

-MY TIPS-
1. Take Panadol just before treatment and post treatment to assist with the pain. Don’t use ibuprofen before or for 24hrs post treatment. The anti-inflammatory interferes with the treatment process and you definitely don’t want that. . Not going to lie, it is very painful once the numbing cream wears off. Like a really bad sunburn if not worse. But I had it in a very sensitive area. This settles down after 24hrs.

2. Use the soothing cream as often as you can manage it. It really does help speed up the healing process, and soothes the angry treatment area. It really is a godsend. At 4 Days post treatment I hardly had any of the plasma crust left in the area. Just some little patches that were taking a bit longer to heal.

3. DO NOT pick the crusts! These must fall away naturally otherwise you could cause scarring which will take much longer to heal and fade. Gently washing your face after 48hrs post treatment. This will help to clean some of plasma crusts away as well as clean away the layers of old soothing cream.

I’m now at 8 Days post treatment and I don’t look as tired and the skin most definitely looks smoother and youthful so I’m really impressed by the results so far and I can’t wait to see it continue to improve over the next 2 weeks.

I have my 2nd session booked end of Aug 2022 and I’m really excited to see the results.

After my face IPL have changed my life! They are the best so far I can say!! Melissa is awesome- with a lot knowledge about the skin she helped me out to give my skin a smooth silky finish.
