I love the atmosphere here - so peaceful. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a tranquill place to hang with friends for aftnoon tea or brunch!

Lovely tea and environment. I was really sad to hear that they closed to public as a tea room. However the venue was so beautiful, and the staff so friendly I would certainly consider it for a reception or function in the future.

The Olinda Tea House is a very impressive and immaculate venue, that would be great for a private function. They offer an excellent breakfast menu; I highly recommend the porridge. The scones are authentic 'Australian-sized' scone servings and come with homemade jam and freshly whipped cream. The only down side is that some of the menu items can be expensive - you are paying for an experience.

Approximate cost: $18

I took an elderly friend out for lunch last week, thinking a drive up the mountains would be a lovely treat. Stopped for lunch at the Olinda Tea house on what happened to be there 2nd anniversary. Well the menu was very limited with the only light lunch meal available being mini hamburgers with chips and salad. We could have gone to Maccas if we wanted that!
They need more variety, not everyone can eat a great big main meal lunch. We were hoping for a quiche or salad or something similar that wasn't a main course meal.
This place was a disappointment for me.

Very expensive and small servings but ambience is very nice. I had the duck and it was an anorexic duck, very very small and skin and bones. Anyway it cost $28 for lunch.

I loved this place!! It is set away from the heart of Olinda just a 3 minute drive away. It has a really nice verandah type area where they play relaing music and you get beautiful views of the dandenongs. I have had the fruit salad with yoghurt for breakfast which was really nice and the devonshire tea which has really nice scones and delicious jam. They also run Yoga classes which include breakfast and a coffee. Definately worth going to this place great customer service and a relaxing place you wont want to leave and go home.

We had lunch here today. I ordered the fusilli pasta; my husband had the calamari and chorizo salad; and we shared hand cut chips, a cappucino and the signature chai.
The chai was lovely. I thought the pasta was delightful.
It was very very busy, but despite this service was prompt and attentive.
The cake display looked lovely but I was too full to indulge.
They also do high tea, and I think I will have to return another day to try this.
A quick walk around the grounds was lovely. I saw a yoga studio, gorgeous gardens and peaceful water features.
Definitely going to return!

Approximate cost: $25
