I highly recommend this gift shop,
my daughter and l often come in browsing for special occasions and are regular customers of the store with friendly caring staff offering friendly advise.

If you are after unfriendly, rude and unhelpful staff this is the place for you. The shop has some great items, however would not spend my money with these ladies. They will continue their conversation while you walk around, if you go to the counter to buy then they will talk, if not expect to be ignored.

For a small local business this is a disgrace! I've been in there three times now on separate occasions and the excuse for sales assistants in there can't even give you the time of day to say hello as they are chatting drinking their coffees. I desperately want a handbag from there however refuse to buy it on principle now very disappointing.

Went in to find a gift for my sister's birthday. Had my 2yr old daughter with me and she found a half flat small ball on a lower shelf. Picked it up and bounced it, and before I left I asked the shop assistant how much it was thinking if it was $2-3 I'd buy it rather than worry about taking it off her. The assistant rolled it around looked for a price (it was a cheap plastic made in China 15cm ball with a barcode printed on it exactly like those sold in Kmart and was the last one from old stock apparently) and eventually told me it was $8 so I said we'd give it a miss. She then said 'but your daughter had it near her mouth, you need to buy it!'. Seriously! I asked her to check for any marks (the plastic ball didn't have a single mark on it or smudge) and she said 'No I'm not going to touch it now'? Huh, after checking it for a price 5 minutes ago. I said my daughter wouldn't have it in her mouth because she 'bounces' balls not sucks on them (I wouldn't let her anyway given it was rolling around on a shelf with different stock and looked dumped) but she wouldn't budge. I said 'if you're that desperate for a sale take the money (I'm 7mths pregnant and didn't want to stand around arguing with her when she wouldn't even check the ball). She took it quickly and I got out of there before she could try to charge us for anything else within reach. The shop has baskets of soft toys etc on the floor, so the scope for ripping off a customer is huge. We are locals and my sister and have spent lots of money there but most of the stock there is now imported from China and India I was looking for something special as a gift rather than mass produced and overpriced. Avoid at all costs.

Approximate cost: $8.00
