Very busy and crowded restaurant / tea shop. Tasty and fresh yum-cha and delicious tea but a little expensive compared to other places I've been. Quick service generally, staff are polite. Not a huge selection of dishes but enough to try a few different things. A good place to stop and revive in between shopping.

The Oriental Tea House is a great place to meet friends for a cheap eat. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. the service at times can be a little up and down, they often to get to bring out orders but are quick to rectify this as service is very fast if this has occurred.

Can't fault this place, however, the prices are a bit expensive for what you are getting. Portions are slighlty on the smaller side. Recommend going here if you live near chadstone and are after a different asian food experience. the tea is pretty cool.

Approximate cost: $20

this is a very expensive yum cha place, i do not want to go there any more, very ordinary good, but very expensive for such a small dish.I waited more than 30 minutes for one small entree.

My Girlfriend and I always go here on trips to Melbourne, the range of dumplings are huge, there is steamed, fried, u name it they have it and you really start to crave it if you haven't been there for a while. Im a sucker for the chilli pork, the chicken skewers and the chive prawn dumplings, the shredded beef is a good one too. Its a great place to take ya missus for a date and very cost effective.

As far as my tastes go this is Yum Cha worth travelling interstate for. Wine was a little pricey, but it went well with all the tasty treats that came out of the kitchen. We had a table right next to the kitchen, and I would recommend you do too - as the food was lovely and hot. It was very noisy (lunchtime), but the trade off is a wide range. They make tea based cocktails, very tasty and way too easy to drink - just shy of $100 for 2 x cocktail, wine and enough yum cha to have to waddle out. Service was very friendly, not attentive as there were so many people, but the care with which our cocktails were made was top notch (waitress came back to chat about them and get our opinions)

Approximate cost: $NA

the transformation from old pub to modern asian restaurant is interesting. The food was very good, it came very quickly, and was clearly fresh. However, getting the bill proved to be very difficult and our waitress forgot about us after delivering the last dish.

Approximate cost: $30 each
