The staff at Oxhey and Bushey have been cutting my hair for 25 years and I have long left all decisions regarding cut and colour to them. I have complete confidence in their skills and expertise and have always enjoyed the results which have ranged from the funky and mildly outrageous to more classic styles. The staff are constantly developing their professional expertise and knowledge to meet new thresholds (e.g. pursuing organic alternatives). I now travel 50 k each way to visit the Oxhey and Bushey salon in Brunswick Street and feel that it is well worth the trip and the investment.

Amazing salon with expert staff who are also friendly. Had the best cut and colour - my friends always ask where I got it done. Always a pleasure to visit Oxhey and Bushey!

Tarryn is an amazing stylist. She listens and doesn't judge and does exactly what you want. She put so much effort into the cut and gave me really fine natural looking foils that made my hair look sunkissed rather than tiger striped! I always walk out feeling a million dollars. The salon uses O&M products which are gentle and smell amazing. My hair doesn't feel dry or damaged.

The experience is relaxing and pampering largely because I always feel confident that the result will be absolutely right. I have been coming here for years and the attention to detail, the friendliness and the consistent professionalism is just how a fabulous salon should be.

I have been using this salon now for a few years and have absolutely no complaints. I changed to this salon from another one due to quality and cost. Finding a good hairdresser is harder than finding a good doctor. I have one and I am not going to change! The cost is competitive for what you are getting. I have had to pay more and get less before, but I believe you get what you pay for and it shows.

Everyone is really friendly and make you feel welcomed and comfortable from the minute you walk in the door.

They also have a beautician, which means I can do everything in one visit - yippee!

I have been going to Oxhey and Bushey since it opened and I can't even remember how many years that is. I would never go anywhere else even though it is a bit dearer than some. Jane Markac, the owner, is a great hairdresser, very experienced and she employs skilled people. I have never had a bad experience and would be amazed if I did. They are all so lovely to you, the salon is nice, it's in a good spot in Brunswick St. It also has a lovely beauty therapist Jo who can give you a hand massge while you wait for your hair to do its thing. I'm a fan for sure.

I've used this salon for both its hairdressing and beauty treatments. What can I say? I am extremely happy with the level of service and the quality. I always feel very special when I go there.

I've been giong there for around 4 years now and have had only one haircut that was no to scale. They have 2 fantastic cutters there at the moment both male.
I won't risk giong anywhere else cause you know how hard it is to find great cutters, but the prices they charge are really over the top. I have short hair and I get it cut every 4-6 weeks and it's always at least 80 bucks. I also take my youngest daughter there who just turned 12 and they have pot her haircuts up from 20.00 18 months ago to 50.00 now.

I walked in off the street without an appointment and was catered for within 10 or so minutes which was great. The receptionist who checked me in also ended up washing my hair. She was talking over me and another customer to another hairdresser about her social life, which was fine by me, but a little unprofessional. The haircut I got was excellent, I was really happy with the outcome. Due to a customer arriving with an appointment towards the end of my cut I felt possibly the end of my style was just a little rushed. But like I said, the outcome was excellent so no complaints. The downfall however was at bill time. I am a first time customer, I got only a few inches off the bottom of my hair and a bit of a style to my fringe, and the cut cost $80!!! This might just be normal, but not for me. I was flabbergasted. As good as the haircut was, it was not the most unbelievable amazing experience of my life or anything, and as a normal haircut for me elsewhere would be no more than $60, I could not justify returning to this salon at that price. Which is unfortunate, he was a really good hairdresser.
