Fantastic well presented food with "punchy" flavours. Very impressive Thai cuisine in a warm, friendly environment. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing food! It is so fresh and with very affordable prices,
Their "samozas" are incredible and the curries, all of them are my favorites.

I wish to make this review in relation to their cooking class.

Since I absolutely love thai cuisine … my very thoughtful husband brought me a cooking class experience (via Red Balloon) at this lovely restaurant.
I attended the Thai Favourites Class on the weekend with a friend of mine.
We had a great experience, being our first cooking class! We were warmly greeted by a lovely gentleman who sat us down and offered us a coffee whilst we waited for the other participants to arrive.
The class was conducted by a qualified Thai chef who was very polite and took his time to demonstrate and explain each of the 5 courses us participants cooked and prepared under his supervision and guidance.
The pace was relaxed and informative. All 3 of us attending the class had an opportunity to ask questions about the dishes prepared and get an insight as to the secrets of good Thai cooking.
After the class we were able to eat our last dish (curry puffs) with a glass of wine.

Us participants were able to bring home the dishes were prepared for us to enjoy at home.

We were also presented with a certificate of our attendance, a folder with recipes and other useful information … and best of all a $30 gift certificate to use for dining at the restaurant (which I will definitely be taking my husband!!)

Interesting to know that the restaurant themselves runs cooking classes - you think they'd be afraid of giving away their "secret recipes". Because it was a gift, do you have any idea how much these classes cost?

We met up with friends last night at Paladarr.. Y-U-M-B-O!! The Issan starter is a must! I had veg spring rolls (they were good, but nothing really special), and the others shared the Beef Salad, a Prawn starter and a minced-pork entree and they all said it was delicious. I had the yellow tumeric vegetarian curry (oh goodness, that's SO good!!), and the rest of the table he the Blue Eye fish curry, the pork belly with chinese broccoli, and a duck dish. We shared their Vegetarian fried rice and had roti bread, too. Everybody loved their meals, the quality, taste & textures were all spot-on (one of our party actually lived in Thailand for 10 years, and she said the chef at Paladarr was truly amazing!!) This is one of the very few authentic Thai spots in Melbourne - go! go! go!

Approximate cost: $20

It is a bit pricey but a great place on a special occasion! We were very satisfied with food but the portion size could have been bigger! Duck is a must, very yummy and beautifully cooked! Great service!

A gorgeous Thai restaurant hidden in Alphington. A far cut above the regular Thai restaurant in every aspect. The atmosphere, decor, food and service were all exceptional.

I still remember the taste, flavour - whole sight, smell, sound experience of one of the most amazing salads i have ever had the priviledge of sumpting on. Pricey but what one expects from a restaurant in this league.

Highly recommended and ideal for that special occasion!

I think most restaurants would want to employ the staff that work here...attentive, but not obtrusive. The menu is extensive, the quality of the food when I dined here the once was exceptional.
The night I went there were couples, business partners (overheard!) and families.
I will definitely be back.

The most authentic Thai food outside Thailand...that's how I would describe how delicious the food is here. Service is par excellence and one can tell that the chefs here have put in a lot of effort in presenting their dishes here.

The food is genuine Thai food and is delicious.

The ambiance is really good however I think the prices are a bit steep for what you get.

A good wine list is available at reasonable prices

Solid Thai restaurant. A bit on the pricey side but food and presentation and menu a bit different from your normal Thai restaurants. Recommend the Miang Karm as an appetiser - something different!

Approximate cost: $25
