I've only had a three course dinner there once, and would like to go again.
The meals we chose were stunning...it was an exercise in asking the staff the translation of several ingredients that we'd not come across before. (We're not foodies, just love the experience)
Knowledgeable and friendly, relaxed staff.
Meals arrived without delay.
Wine menu selection was a winner.
Parking is available in the back streets of Westgarth end of Northcote, requiring a short walk.
Would definitely like to go back to try the cheeseboard.
I think most restaurants would want to employ the staff that work here...attentive, but not obtrusive. The menu is extensive, the quality of the food when I dined here the once was exceptional.
The night I went there were couples, business partners (overheard!) and families.
I will definitely be back.
Every cleanskin bottle I've had from here has been a good drop. Friendly approachable service by the owners and staff. I have overheard the owner in particular, answer questions from customers indicating his obvious strong knowledge of wines. Website is slick and easy to order wines online too. They offer personalised labels.
Approximate cost: $14
We've been here several times, and each time, I leave with a full belly, and more importantly, a wide smile. I guess you could describe the menu options as contemporary (although I don't know much about traditional Greek food) - for example, a filo-wrapped slab of fetta drizzled with honey. (!!) A great place to share good food with friends and family.
We regularly go to Denn for their good service and gluten free pizzas. The Manager is always friendly and professional, even when it's very busy - as you would expect. We've never had a negative experience.
I needed to replace my rear view mirror on my car and I contacted Axle. They cut the glass to fit the mirror. The staff were very easy to work with, given that I wasn't able to get into their Darebin Road service centre outside of work hours.
Would definitely go back to them to get other mirrors or glass cut.
Approximate cost: $55
You only have to walk into this 50+ years old supermarket to realise you have found something special...Very rarely would I have difficulty finding what I wanted as the shelves are full of local and imported products, perfectly positioned.
Marisa is very helpful...she takes the time to help you find ingredients you want.
I am trying the maple glazed ham and the wine & herb glazed hams next!!
The quickest waxing I've ever had - and didn't miss anything! The staff are welcoming. I'll be calling them first to see if they can fit me before I try others. Very convenient location for me.
Salon is always clean...my only wish would be that it gave a more calming effect on me when I walked in.
Approximate cost: $80
The Cones store is dangerous, especially as it is conveniently open til late in summer.
It offers a decent range of flavours to make it at least a five minute decision process.
Flavours included Fig & Almond, Baci, Lemon Cheesecake, Lime (sorbet)...and are all made on-site.
I wouldn't necessarily trek across town for a Cones cone, but I am more than happy that they are the local gelato makers.

My standout yeehaa moment at this cafe is when I realised they don't charge extra for gluten free bread.
The coffee is outstanding...and great to see that it is FairTrade. Food menu is as to be expected - the usual faves.
The service is always quick, easy. I don't ever remember waiting to be served.
Seating is available inside amongst the various art exhibited, outside in the courtyard under the trees (with a children's play area) or on the footpath under wide black umbrellas.
A relaxed way to spend a Sunday morning or to grab a decent coffee to head in to the City on the train.
