I have been to Pancake Manor before a couple of times in the last 2 years but I think they have got worse this year.
Firstly we were there before the big breakfast rush this morning, yet we did not get our meals until 30 minutes later when only we questioned when we would get it. Their response for the delay was that the hash-brown takes 25 minutes to cook. (They should state on the menu if it takes that long, just like Freestyle Tout stated on the menu that the chocolate fondant would take 15 minutes to cook).
Secondly, we finished our breakfast/pancake and still had not received our coffees which we ordered at the same time as our meals. Their excuse was that there was a back-log (If that was not even their busy-period, then I really don't know how long others would be waiting for their coffees during the breakfast-rush!). They knew we were not happy having to ask where our food was, and then where our drink was and did offer us complimentary drink but still it is not good if drinks come out 45 minutes to 50 minutes after ordered when you are in a rush to be somewhere else straight after like an appointment or meet someone somewhere or a movie, etc...
Thirdly, the Lemontyne pancakes I used to order had fresh lemon wedges without seeds in most of them (Maybe only 2 had seeds), and sugar. This time I ordered them, the lemon wedges had seeds (all 4 of them) and some lemon wedges were green instead of yellow (1 and a half of the lemon wedges), and they used icing sugar instead of sugar. Could have been a different chef but still didn't look as appetizing with green-coloured lemon wedges with seeds in them all.
I just hope next time I am back, they will step up quite a bit to save their reputation. However I am starting to think Crepe Place seems to be better than Pancake Manor now, especially from my experience today. Although this Pancake Manor is more convenient being open 24/7. I still love pancakes. waffles and crepes though!
(WOMO can edit this review, but it is the truth and can be backed up by another witness who was with me during the breakfast).

Pancake Manor in the City is a great place to eat. All Pancake Manors have a similar "feel" & are a great little hang out.
I love their pancakes & always indulge in a nice warm hot chocolate.... I only ever seem to go to the Pancake Manor in winter!! Nice warm comfort food I guess.....
Brings back memories of my high school years when my girlfriends & I would feel very grown up to go into the city & have pancakes..... Good Times.

Really really disappointed in this place,I have gone 3 times in the past year to be fair, and each time I've gone, was so disappointed and left hungry!the place smells,it's an old church which is lovely, but nice interior doesn't make up for it..tables are dirty, staff very indifferent, but food is worst.pics of meals look ok,even though they're out of date,80"s looking menus, but when food arrives its just terrible.pancakes were chewy, salad had no dressing and was bit frozen, steak was an old chewy piece of tasteless meat.this place used to be great when I went 8years ago,but seriously is struggling now.please fix it and bring it back to its past glory!

Approximate cost: $10-15

Had been 6 years since I'd eaten here, so thought I'd be brave and go again, inviting my parents who don't like going out. I finally convinced them they need a well deserved night out and this place impressed. As it was a very busy night, they saw my parents were older so gave us a private corner table for the 8 of us. The meals were great, the environment was electric and the fact it's an old cathedral church was definitely a talking piece. Having the manager speak to use twice checking that our night was fine was a nice personal touch. My father is a fussy eater and he had a ball. Thank you

Pancake Manor is a staple for a good night out in the city. There are loads of different combinations and the meals are huge. Great venue as well, I think it's an old church.

This is the original pancake manor and it is in a old beautiful heritage church. It's such a unique building with very high cielings and gorgeous stained glass windows. They make yummy crepes for savoury & the best pancakes ever for sweet. My favourite is the macadamia pancakes. It's also open all night long so it's great for a late night option.

I haven't been here for years and thought I'd pop in for a short stack of pancakes today to relive some old memories. The pancakes were light and fluffy and I loved the whipped butter on top. Good cappuccino too. Moderately priced I thought. Didn't realise they had so many savoury options on the menu including nachos, salads and even steak. The only thing to gripe about today was the jug and glasses of water we requested...they really need to update their cups as they were so old and yucky. Other than that, it's open 24 hours and the church atmosphere is still intriguing.

Approximate cost: $7.00

Drunk nights/Late study nights, always somehow manage to end up this place. Its a good thing i do, because sometime when I can't do my assessment I get cravings and these pancakes sure know how to cheer me up.
