Terrible service, didn’t get the $9.50 piece of fish I paid for. The male who was opening was so rude, wouldn’t let us sit on outdoor table after spending $100 on food, said it was due to ‘Covid’ which was not correct at all. It was due to them charging more if you eat at their tables outside even if you have takeaway with no cutlery, plates, napkins etc. place is dirty, needs a mop and disinfect. Wouldn’t bother stopping here, Keep going to Victor. Haven’t done a review on here before but the guy was so rude, it’s worth the effort to let everyone else know.

Approximate cost: $100

Good deals on fish and Chips, especially on Mondays!

Enjoyed another fish meal here at Pa's Cafe. They serve alcohol with their meals and have more items on the menu than fish options. However we both opted for fish and chips and salad and really enjoyed it. A very good option for a meal.

My husband and I really like Pa's Fish Cafe as they do offer some delicious fish and chips, hot and cold drinks and it's just a nice place to sit and relax and look over encounter bay, very pleasant. Service was prompt and friendly and our fish tasted fresh.

After returning from Granite Island we hopped in the car and came here for our coffee. Sat outside overlooking Encounter Bay and enjoy our coffee which was nice and hot. Finished off our lunch very well. Have eaten here before and thoroughly enjoyed the food but this was a coffee stop. Nice location

My friends and I ordered a sensational fish platter and a couple of burgers from here recently. The servings were a lot bigger than we had expected and the fish was perfect, tasted really fresh as well as the chips and salad.

Service was a little slow, but they were very busy and it certainly was worth the wait.

Will definitely be returning with my mates in the coming months.

I have eaten here on numerous occasions, I love the fish plates and hamburgers, there is also a vegan option for a hamburger although I think you have to ask for it.

The batter on the fish is outstanding and the last time I ate there it looked like they had new style of chips which taste a whole lot better than before.

The portions are huge and great value and they have an excellent range of wines and beers behind the bar.

The atmosphere is great with lots to look at with memorabilia all over the walls.

Although it does get busy during the good weather, but having worked in commercial kitchens I totally understand and its always worth the wait.

Great food, great service

We went here last weekend and ordered two fish and chips to take out the wait time was ridiculous, there was no mention of a long wait when we ordered but it took close to 45 minutes for a take away order to be ready which it a joke. But it was good value only $13 and it was gorgeous the chips were lovely and the batter was this crispy melt it your mouth piece of heaven! We ate them on the beach whilst watching the surfers will g there again and hopefully the long wait was a one time thing.

Approximate cost: $13.00

We called in here for takeaway. This cafe has a beautiful outlook out over Encounter Bay, from Granite Island around to The Bluff. Quite stunning location.
This is an interesting place, plenty of eat-in tables, lots of memorabilia and photos spread around the walls, and more interesting items toward the back in the bar area.
We decided to try Pa's Famous Fish Platter, even though we thought it was rather expensive for takeaway at $18 per serve. Turned out to be a large meal, probably almost feed 2. Included a large piece of butterfish, 2 squid rings, 2 prawns, crabstick, chips, salad, tartare sauce and a piece of lemon (with no juice, unfortunately).
Well cooked and quite nice, chips good, batter OK
Other various fish and chicken packs available on the menu, at about average prices, plus hamburgers and hot dogs etc.

Had lunch here on Saturday. Hubby a little disappointed with his flake and I had chips and salad (would've been great to have just one vegan option). Fairly quiet in the restaurant and service was quick. Great position on the street; needs a little finishing off inside (walls/flooring etc). A quaint place to visit.

Hi Antheam2, thanks for sharing your experience. It is, without question, disappointing that there are insufficient vegetarian/vegan options within this sector. If some industrious or entrepreneurial individual was interested, we imagine that this business could prove quite lucrative. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces
