On arrival at the site we joined a very long queue and was left standing outside in the sun for over 45 min. It was not until we reached the entrance that we found out that the queue was for tours of the facility and there was no wait to enter the shop area. My wife who has a disability was quite distraught by the time we entered and at no time during our wait did anyone from the business advise people queueing that it was not necessary. There was no visible signage until you reached the entrance. On entering we spoke to the very nice and helpful security person who went straight to a person in charge and advised him of our plight. The man was very disinterested and to be truthful very rude and unhelpful. Would not revisit nor recommend this site to anyone i know. Left a bad experience in our trip to the island.
Was great service in the cafe , robot was a bit of fun , but it was very quiet , with only one other group there . The hot chocolate was amazing
We bought Rocky Road which was expensive, and quite frankly disappointing as it fell apart when cut and the jelly was little squares that fell away from the chocolate
Approximate cost: $36
Large factory with an impressive showroom. Wonder array of different chocolate products which are made on the premises. Cafe here too and there are tours that sound extremely interesting which take you behind the scenes.
Definitely check this place out if youre in Phillip Island. I used to come here with my family as a kid and I was always so intrigued at the chocolate making process tat they show you in this cool room.
Okay, this isn't in Cowes, it's in New Haven / Woolamai. It's expensive, the product is good but it's just chocolate, for the price it isn't worth it in my opinion. The tour is interesting but again not worth the price. There are free samples though! That's why I gave it three stars!
used to come here quite often as a kid. really fun to try their many flavours of chocolate and see how it is made
Sounds interesting. I will have to visit sometime soon
I've been here a few times and it always disappoints. Chocolate is very expensive and doesn't taste great. Service is average. The cafe is confusing - they do a curry lunch which looks terrible and seems out of place in a chocolate factory. Such a contrast to the Yarra Valley Chocolate Factory.
Awesome place to learn about chocolate production! Went during the school holidays and absolutely loved it!
Was so good
good place to visit when on the island
This is a great tourist attraction, and I think it's the best attraction in Phillip Island. The squiggle machine is a favourite as it is free chocolate. My son always wants me to buy him a customised chocolate bar. The shop is great and the tour is informative. I love the Dame Edna Pixel Chocolate portrait.
Such a awesome place if your a chocolate lover like myself. The chocolate is a bit expensive but if you do the chocolate factory tour you get to eat unlimited chocolate. There are also fun games were you win chocolate balls.
Approximate cost: $15.00
