We're Plume addicts! Having moved from the East to the West last year we bemoaned the loss of great Yum Cha as we're both addicted.
We tried Plume on a visit to Highpoint and now we're hooked. The service is second to none - you can sit down and have 5 carts waiting to serve you, even on very busy Sundays like today it's service is excellent.
We've eaten there in the evening and found it quite pricey but the food was excellent quality and really tasty.
Approximate cost: $7
Though one of the better Chinese restaurant this side of town. Yum cha for two is expensive. Dinner is better value, especially for huge family functions. Service can be a bit slow.
We went to dinner here, and the layout was beautiful very classy and elegant.
The food was to die for, the satay chicken and Mongolian beef just melted if my mouth.
Approximate cost: $25
Yum cha is great esp on weekends. More variety than on weekdays. Fast service
A bit pricier than in the East of in the city.
Takeaway is good too.
The fried white bait in spicy salt is esp good
So too is the Claypot minced meat with eggplant
Each time we have dined at Plume we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service is superb. It is fast and the food is definately served with style. The food is freshly cooked, served hot and with great authentic flavours. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Approximate cost: $20
Yum Cha is their specialties. If you been to Doncater Plume, you will love this place. Same management, same quality of food and service.
Enormous live abalone, M-9 Wagyu and the modern Chinese cooking will make your visit very satisfactory. The price is seasonal.
Approximate cost: $28
