Beware if purchasing from honda melville

I would NOT recommend this business. Purchased a brand new Honda ZRV on 11th March 2024 and paid extra for external paint protection and internal shield ($2490- price as listed on Honda Website)
After picking up the car, the whole car is covered with swirl marks/scratches. How is this possible with a brand new car?
Brought the car back to dealership and was asked to mark exactly where the marks are. Told the sales consultant it’s on the whole car , he finally agreed to redo paint protection on the whole car.
After the car was supposedly redone, when I went back to pick up my car, the swirl marks/scratches are still there.
Dealer is now claiming marks are defects from the factory. But they take no responsibility and said that I have to contact Honda Australia.
Extremely disappointed as they have ruined the new car buying experience for me.
Bad after sales customer experience!

Approximate cost: $58000

I test drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee and found it had a knocking sound on take off. They phoned me back a week later to say it was fixed. I test drove it again to find it was not. The manager said he was going to check on it and get back to me, this was after he also took it for a drive and heard the knocking sound. Two days later he messaged to say the car was sold.
Now, one cannot help but think that they sold the car to someone, knowing that it had something wrong with it.

They just confirmed what everyone believes about car salesman.
Won't be going back there, again.

Sold me a 1 year old car and told me it was brand new, this years build etc. They lied and they won't admit it. Having paid a substantial deposit and signed up for finance I have heard nothing for 2 months, no payments outgoing and no contact from the bank that arranged the finance, they've sold the car and hung me out to dry, shame on them.

Stopped going there to service my odyssey and was a mistake. Got cheaper parts installed and looking at receipts from the other workshop closely, all fluids require too up and not topped up by them. Got quited 5k to replae my trans at an independent and decide to take it to prestige and was told that a flush would fix it and it did. Cost me just over 1000 to get a flush and other service parts replaced. Had a chat with the service manager and their senior mechanic and they were very friendly and helpful. Thanks.

Approximate cost: $1000

Do You Want To Be Duped by Honda Prestige in Melville WA???
Following is my recent experience with Honda Prestige in Melville.
I walked in to Prestige Honda Car Dealer in Melville WA and made inquiries about a demonstrator model of a Honda CRV Luxury wagon that was available for sale BUT NOT ADVERTISED! I took a test drive and asked for the price. The sales representative asked me to make an offer. My intention was to enjoy a good discount normally offered for demonstrator models ($4-5K for a car valued at $46K) After a few offers and counter offers we agreed on $43,000 (supposedly $3-4K cheaper than a brand new car price) which was the drive away price of the car as per the sales representative. I was told that is all I pay and no more to pay "on the road price - drive away".
Then a sales contract prepared signed by both parties. The sales representative did not explain to me and my wife all the items in the price column and I was also not interested in going in to too much details as I was convinced that all I pay is $43,000 to own the car on the road and no more to pay. Further they explained that they will attend to all the paper work required for transfer of the vehicle in my name and was told that I should receive the paper work in the mail in about 2 weeks.
After about 10 days once the finance was arranged I happily drove the car away. I liked the car which was full of extra features and I enjoyed driving it.
About a week later I received a statement from Department of Transport with a bill of $2,274.25 being "stamp duty" and “License duty" which need to be settled before 7th August 2013. I was totally and completely taken by surprise due to this turn of event which was totally unexpected. Seeing this I met the General Sales Manager of the dealership, since the guy who did the sale was on holiday and wanted to pass the bill for him to pay on my behalf. He promptly rejected and said I have to wait till the sales rep comes back from leave to discuss. On 22nd July I met the sales rep at the dealer's show room and presented the case. He too vehemently rejected saying that I have to pay this and it is in the contract.
I strongly feel that I was a victim of the circumstances. I simply took his word for granted that that the drive away sales price of 43,000 includes all the costs and charges and no more to pay. In that scenario I did not scrutinize the price column closely before signing the contract. Later I realised that how dodgy the sales contract was. He has shown the full all inclusive cost ($46,973) of a brand new car of the same model at the top of the column and figured (a disfigured amount having written all over again few times) an amount which can be vaguely read as $4,973, as the "demonstrator discount". However the total Purchase Price shown at the bottom $43,000 does not tally with the new car price less the discount. I am very confident that they have deceived me by not disclosing other charges in the form of stamp duty.
I have seen many advertisements published by other Honda dealers in WA. They seem to be transparent in their dealings as the advertisements (of CRV demonstrators like my car) show very clearly $43,750 drive away price. As a matter of interest I once took the trouble to visit Honda North dealership to inquire. Similar advertised demonstrator vehicle was available for sale for $43,750 and they explained that the total car price INCLUDES STAMP DUTY which will be paid by the dealership.
So now I am convinced that I was taken for a ride by Prestige Honda dealership. In the end I have paid almost the full price of a brand new Honda CRV for a demonstrator.

Be very careful when taking your car here for a service as they will try and squeeze as much money out of you as they can- well that's where these companies make their money don't they! I rang up on the phone and asked how much the service would cost for 50,000 and they said $280. When my partner took the car in they said the cost of the service would be $400 because it would need a wheel alignment (without even checking first if it would need one) and an emission service. They then called up on the phone while the car was in and said that it would need an injection service and a fuel injector service. The total cost would be $800. So it went from $280 to $800. Now I'm no mechanic but I do know that no new car should ever need a fuel injector service (unless you have been using dirty fuel from the cheap service stations). I also confirmed this with my parents mechanic that they have been seeing for 20 years and they said that they were just trying to rip us off from the minute we dropped the car off. Fair enough if the car needs a wheel alignment and emission service but how do you know unless you have looked first?! And as for the emission service, the induction service and the fuel injector service our family mechanic said Rip, Rip, Rip! It's a shame because I find the staff there very professional and they are always very accommodating but they have lost me as a customer. I can't trust them after this service. If you are going to take your car there and they do advise you to get extra things done ask WHY and do your research before giving them the go ahead. unfortunately these companies take advantage of people who dont kbow a thing about cars. If this helps save someone else from nearly getting ripped off $500 for absolutely no good reason then I am happy to have passed on this info! Disappointed because all I expect is honesty but there are a lot of people out there that you obviously can't trust.

I have had my car serviced here for the past 9 years & have been very pleased with the care taken by them. (free quick wash & vacuum for the vehicle too). Lounge with tea, coffee & newspapers available if I choose to wait for my car. Otherwise courtesy vehicle will drop me home & return to pick me up when my car is ready
