I took my Kawasaki ZXR750 to Hornsby Procycles service because St Peters shop was too busy.
Now I know why you can get your bike serviced straight away at Procycles Hornsby, because Anthony Katter owner of Procycles (nephew of Bob Katter) is a complete rip off merchant.

My bike needed only a minor service, change of oil and filter and a new rear tyre, which is what I asked for.
Anthony without my permission went ahead and racked up a bill of $2,600 on many faults he apparently found - leaking forks and cam cover - neither leaking when I dropped the bike off.
He said he cleaned out the tank and carbs, which I paid for, but three weeks and two rides later the bike wouldn’t start. I called Anthony - he sent someone straight awAy to collect the bike (of course) next day calls me to say 9 hours of work done - again without a diagnostic courtesy call/estimate. Charged me for 9 hours work for cleaning only two of my four carbs - including 6 hours in the sonic bath at $120/hour. Had he actually cleaned the tank and carbs on the initial service like he charged me for the carbs should not have needed cleaning three weeks later. But he had no recollection of servicing the bike a few weeks before - even though it’s a very distinctive vintage bike.
When I complained he refused to discount the bill at all (over $1,000) was very disrespectful and even taunted me with “you know your bike has a flat spot between 7,000 to 9,000 revs”. So he had also thrashed my 31 year old bike without my permission.
He then had his sales manager Matthew Palmer call me and pretend to be the owner of the business and said the head technician test rides all bikes but sometimes Anthony does as well. So I said why don’t you trust your head technician? He had no coherent response.
They refused to return my bike unless I paid their ridiculously over inflated bill, which in the end I had to do to get my bike back.
Will never go back to these shysters. Avoid them like the plague!!!

Genuine and honest service. Andy provided me options to meet my requirements. Always polite and a pleasure to do business with. Once ordered my items were promptly dispatched.

Terrible service from the workshop with non committed staff. - not interested in a warranty claim 3 times. managers who change stories and figures to make it beneficial for themselves. refinancing causing a newer cheaper bike cost more than one already decided on (that cost much more ). Unfair polices in regards to customers who are not happy with the product they have been given. not willing to listen to facts that a vehicle has failed and they are responsible. Use of complicated tactics to fleece customers out of money. long complicated explanations in which they try to hide charges they are passing on that they should pay.

Came here for a tire change. Not the cheapest shop, but very professional. Although, they overtorqued my rear axle nut to get it to line up with a hole drilled for a cotter pin - I was a little unhappy about that.

After spending 18K on a new BMW I took it back to Procycle for its first service. I dropped the bike off first thing in the morning, about an hour later I received a phone call from the service department informing me a large screw had puntured my tyre and a new tyre would have to be fitted. I thought this was a bit strange as I check my tyres before every ride and they where fine even when I arrived at the dealership. I decided to return to Procycles to see this punture for myself, when I returned sure enough the tyre in question was just fine and the 'large screw and large gash in the tyre' mysterously disappeared. I pointed this out to the service manager and that's when he flew into a rage.
That afternoon still pissed off that I caught them out I received a rude phone call, informing me my bike would not be ready for pick up. Two days to do an oil change?? and there were scuff marks on the end of the handle bars and frame like the bike had been layed over. I'll add prior to the first service Procycles never informed me of any of the numerous recalls for my bike even though I purchased the bike new from them, I had to bring these recalls to their attention everytime. This has been the most appalling and dishonest service I have received from any dealer. Buyer Beware!

Approximate cost: $18000
