I have always wanted to come here, I was lucky to be invited to one of my hubby's work parties which was held here on the weekend.

I could not believe how busy the restaurant was. Its buzzing with busyness, there is so much going on.

We had Yum Cha, which is my first time experiencing it all. I am very fussy with my food and will only eat certain things, I loved everything with prawns in it, especially loved the beans dish and spring rolls. There were a lot of dishes that I didn't try only because that's me I am not adventurous.

Service was friendly if you could flag someone down, the staff members are always moving around with food trays and moving the food from tray to tray. I found it hard to get a coke, though finally had someone come over to take the order.

My husband loved all the dishes.

Great massive tables, comfortable chairs, good room spacious.

Would come again

Approximate cost: $241.50

This is one of my two favourite places to come for Yum cha with my friends. Rhodes Phoenix is very busy on the weekends and your most likely to wait 30+ mins for a table, so I do recommend getting there early (probably before 11am). If you have 10 people, then you can make a booking but there is a 2hr seating time slot.

All their dim sims are fresh and flavoursome. I'm usually not a big fan of the BBQ pork buns when I go to Yum Cha, but these surprisingly nice here and not overly sweet. The salted fried squid was quiet nice too. The only negative I found was the size of some of their dishes are now smaller, such as their stir fried noodles and the caramelised beef strips.

The Mango pancake is one of the favourite desserts for a number of my friends and I love the mango pudding.

The restaurant was busy as usual. We got seated in about 10 minutes as there were only two of us. The waiter asked what tea we wanted and promptly forgot about it. So we ordered some dim sims and still the tea did not come. Not really efficient service. We had to get another waiter to get the tea fir us. We ordered six types of dim sims. Most of the dim sims were good except for the salted fried squid. It was dry, chewy and my wife commented that it tasted like eating plastic which I agreed. It was relatively expensive and people were sitting quite close together making it feel less comfortable.

I love coming here for both yum cha and dinner. We normally get three our four dishes between 4-6 people and all walk away completely full and with left overs. It is sometimes cramped inside, but there are separate board rooms for specially booked events.
I really enjoy the food and its so close to the movies (just down the escalators).
I'm not sure if they do take away though. Which would improve their rating!!

Approximate cost: $25

My sister introduced us to this yum cha place as we used to go to one in the city and have since stopped going to the one in the city as the food and service have gone downhill.

The food is really yummy although a bit overpriced. The carts of food are constantly coming around so you're never waiting around for food, however if you're after something particular, you can let one of the waiters know and they'll let the kitchen know.

If you come here during a special event such as Chinese New Year or mother's day etc, make sure you make a booking! If you make a booking, you don't wait too long to get a seat.

Once you finish eating they try to push you out the door as fast as possible because they do get really, really busy.

This place is quite clean however it can get a little bit squishy inside when they are busy.

Didn't know that they take booking for yum Cha.. Would you know how long will they hold the table for?

I think it's about 15 minutes, but I'm not 100% sure.

Probably the least impressive one among all Phoenix restaurants in Sydney -dinner is over priced with average food. The Yum Cha though is always good. Very busy for Yum Cha all week and weekend, and you need to book if go with large group.

Approximate cost: $20 to $30 per person

I was a little disappointed with the Yum Cha from here. I don't know if it was because I didn't really know what to order. I thought the food could have been hotter.

I recently came to this place again. I believe that this is one of the best yumcha places that I have tried so far. There is a wide variety of food, some may say that the food is expensive but to me it's worth the price. The food trolleys come very often, so you are not left waiting. I LOVE THIS YUMCHA. It's the best.

I LOVE coming to yumcha at Phoenix! It is the absolute best yumcha that I have ever had! It is quite expensive, however, but I think it is definitely worth it. You must try the mango pancakes and the mango pudding, they are to die for! And the restaurant is so big and beautiful!
