Went here with my ex and we had the parma which was very chewy, the service was quick but they didnt know much about their wines or the area which was kind of annoying! A little expensive for a very average meal and not a lot going for the hotel honestly

Approximate cost: $20

While holidaying in Ballarat recently we decided to do a bit of browsing and shopping in the CBD. After we spent all the money we intended to we had lunch and we had a few more hours to kill so we asked one of the locals the where-abouts of the nearest pub. We followed his directions an found the Robin Hood Hotel. By this time a nice cold beer was just what the doctor ordered so while the girls went for a dabble on the pokies we sat down to enjoy our beers. A number of large glass panels depicting an archer adorned various parts of the hotel which added to the cleanness and brightness of the section. While sitting down enjoying our beers we were able to watch the quarter finals and the semi finals and part of the final of the recently completed European Darts competition being shown on Foxtel. We asked one of the bar staff if she knew where our particular bus stop was and as our luck was in it happened to be just around the corner, so we finished our drinks and ambled round to the bus stop. Unfortunately we could not partake in the meals at this hotel as we had already eaten and we ran out of time. However if and when we are in Ballarat again we will definitely revisit this hotel.

WE only stopped in for a short visit after shopping in the CBD. Disappointed we did not get to try the food. It was nice and quiet and we enjoyed a drink while watching the Darts on Foxtel.
Hope we can get back to sample the food one day.

The self serve salad and veggies are fantastic!
Take the kids there on a nice day, they have a playground, but its outside. It's undercover, but gets chilly!
The chicken parmas are wonderful.
Getting a drink can take some time, there is generally only one bar tender.
I highly recommend The Robin Hood for lunch! Great value.

The lunch time menu is great value the serves are generous and the salad bar and vegie bain marie has a good variety and lots of bread and condiments all to help yourself to.Kids get a free soft drink with their lunch and if you order from lunch menu desserts, which are tasty, are only $6 There is a playground attatched to the lounge where kids can vent off their energy and allow parents to eat their lunch. The dining room is big enough if you dont want to be near the kiddie section.Friendly staff and helpful too.
