Since the change in ownership the quality of meat is not the same
Alas things change
I will now be looking elsewhere

Just ate the most delicious curried lamb pie. Crisp pastry and succulent lamb in a tasty but not overpowering sauce. Another winner from Rode Road Meats. Thanks, Brad and all your wonderful staff. Jane

Amazing meat & service. We purchase pet mince regularly, and human meat sometimes which is always delicious! Pet mince must be amazing too, dogs never complain! ALL staff make eye contact and smile when you enter the shop, the displays are amazing , the shop is clean and the service is absolutely exceptional, to the point of a lovely guy carrying my purchase half way across the car park on a Sunday!!!! I hardly ever see people smile whilst working on Sundays!! Outstanding staff management should be proud!!! Seriously cannot praise this shop enough, do your self and your pets a favor and pay the lads a visit! ($1.50 kg pet mince)

I say it's like a lolly shop for carnivores!!! I start from one end and work my way around the beautifully displayed meats. Lots of half-prepared things that have been marinaded or skewered etc if you haven't got the time yourself. All the sausages are quality and packed with flavour. I'd rather pay the slightly extra price and get good quality meat. Staff always helpful and will carry to the car and, as it happens, I'm heading off there now. Getting excited about going to the butcher says it all really :D

There's a difference between 'price' and 'value'. At Rode Meats, you expect to pay more, but you expect quality in return and we're never disappointed. They always have an excellent variety of ready-to-cook meats plus whole meats and the usual cuts. Friendly staff, easy parking and we're never disappointed with the quality!

Excellent butcher, great quality meats. The best tasting sausages, I won't buy from supermarkets anymore as taste too artificial. All the staff are so friendly, really nice guys! Everyone you talk to always speaks highly of this butcher. Their prices are getting higher though, I suppose you get what you pay for. It's worth spending more and getting your meat from these guys.

We visited after receiving a recommendation from a friend. We live in Chermside and haven't been able to find a butcher close by with high quality meat at reasonable prices. We were disappointed by both the quality and cost at Rode Meats. The service is amazing - they are very helpful and friendly and the shop is clean...however the cost is too high. I found a chunk of bone in my "gourmet" sausage - very nasty. We also purchased a roast and the quality just wasn't there for the price we paid. Having grown up on a beef farm I appreciate a good roast or steak and for the price you pay the quality should be outstanding. Very disappointed and won't be back.

Very friendly staff with top quality product. Quite an old fashioned style butchery - they always offer my son a cheerio! The prices are not cheap, but I believe that you are paying for quality. They have great kids sausages chocked with vegetables which taste nice too.

Friendly, old fashioned butcher. They will always go out of their way to help....with a young baby in toe - they always help carry my purchases to the car etc without me having to ask. AMAZING quality meats....I won't buy anywhere else. We travel for 20 mins every sunday just to buy our meats!

Top quality butcher with a great selection of meats. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. Will go out of my way to buy all of my meat here. Make sure you give yourself a bit of time when visiting though as its always busy on weekends.

The Shop is always Clean, and the price is pretty good. staff are always friendly. Shop is always very busy on the weekend though.

Rode Road Meats is a wonderful butcher. The quality of the meat is great. Extreamly helpful staff always willing to leand a hand. I visit every week, i would not go anywhere else.

Friendly old-fashioned butcher service. Lots of pre-prepared meals (beef wellingtons, mini lamb pesto rolls, etc) which are a nice easy solution. Staff are so friendly and will even carry heavy bags to your car.
