Average results, average customer service and massively over priced. Unfortunately that old saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply in this case.

Very expensive but you get what you pay for - fantastic quality every time! The girls and guys here are lovely and I love catching up on magazines while drinking complimentary coffee and tea.

Amazing hairdressers! My tip is go to the apprentices though to save money! I could not afford it otherwise, it's out of my price range unfortunately. X

Awesome! I love Rokk Ebony so much! Unfortunately due to budget constraints, I can't go here much. But when I do I splash out. The service is fantastic and I am always happy with my hair after.

I've had some great experiences at rokk ebony. Once I was just walking by and got a free blow wave but I've also had foils which at first were great and quite natural but maybe too natural as they didn't seem to last too long . They are super expensive though but with that offer you copious amounts of tea and coffee which is always nice. I feel they don't offer you advice on what's best for your hair though

I've had my hair done at rokk ebony on numerous occasions and have always been happy with the high quality service. They always got the colour done exactly how I asked. Also the atmosphere in the salon is great. It is a little pricey but it is well worth the money spent.

A friend of mine recommended Rokk Ebondy in Mentone, so I thought I would check it out.

Having just moved here from Belgium and not being able to see my regular hairdresser, I was a bit wary of finding the right place.

I always get my hair dyed and style cut. I was lucky to get a booking on the Thursday afternoon as they were always so booked up.

The salon had a great atmosphere with music pumping. Sandra, (I think) was my hairdresser, she did a professional job. Not as good as my hairdresser, Romy back home but was quite a serviceable job.

Rokk Ebony is the closest hairdresser to me. I only saw great reviews online but none of the girls I knew in the area had been there. I picked up a price list. They are very expensive and have a basic stylist, principal stylist,style director and creative director. The higher the more $$$. I was advised to use someone in the middle for a first visit and then a stylist to maintain. I was having a cut $120, 1/2 head foils $140,toner 50-80. I was told that to skip the treatment at the basin I save $20...the only good thing is they quote you the end price so you don't leave in tears as I've heard people have. However I was confident due to the expertise (and price)I was in good hands. The place itself is vibrant and very busy, the service for coffee etc is great...but it isn't a cafe...My foils were nothing like the picture I showed and undetectable. Toner didn't change anything. A girl came to cut my hair whilst it was soaking wet. She had not seen it before and just wanted to start hacking at it and I panicked and opted out. Lucky I did but the quick dry off (I didnt have another $88-180 for a blow dry) was terrible and I didnt even see the hairdresser that I had an appt with as everyone was soooo rushed and no attention was really given. I was only spoken to when I was told what products I need to buy for my hair. I purchased a product that I read about online, but funny enough noone else knew what it did...they had to read the back. So I myself will not be going back. I expect more for that price but if you have the money and can afford the very best give it ago. I only went with the principal stylist. You get $25 off your first visit so I would just suggest getting something minor to see if the service is good for you as they do have great reviews everywhere...I must have just lucked out?

I have been looking for a new hairdresser for a while and I've been to other Rokk Ebony salons and I thought they were a bit average given the price. But based on the reviews on WOMOW, I thought I'd give Rokk Ebony in Mentone a try. And the reviews were right - Loved the place. The hairdresser (unfortunately I forgot her name! but she's the head stylist at the salon) was fantastic. I didn't ask for anything extravagant, just a simple cut but I really wanted to get rid of some of the weight (I have a lot of hair & thick hair). The end result was fantastic. I've asked for similar things at other hairdressers, but the outcome here was a lot different - a lot better! I've been really happy with the cut ever since! Will definitely come back to the salon!

This was my first visit I was very pleased with the attention to detail,after a series of disasters with other hairdressers, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I have finally found a hairdresser that I am happy with the cut. Great service.As it was my first visit They gave me $25 off.

I have been going to this hairdresser for quite a while. Excellent, professional, friendly staff and great service - from the wash to the haircut to the coffee and a biscuit.

I had a style cut and bought a couple of products.
They do listen to what you want, its like you get a mini consultation before they begin...
They also provided me with some great advice.

Having had my hair done from everywhere to Shibui, Heading Out, Synergy I vowed never to ever spend a fortune on haircuts again but I've been completely sucked back in by this place. They are reasonably priced in comparison to top notch salons, (although I do know of one girl who left in tears after paying $350 so make sure you get a quote). Can occasionally take a little longer than expected but you know you'll walk out with great hair, and I love the fact they don't charge for blowdrys.

What a great Salon. When you get there you will have a consultation on what you want and a very realistic overview of your hair and what is achievable. They really do what they say they will. Chloe is fantastic, her foils are perfect. My hair was so damaged and they took extra care and made sure they don't damage it any more. A++++

Yesterday had a cut and my roots touched up and was very impressed. This is a business that's got it together (and I'm a fairly tough salon critic having moved from NYC). Service was excellent. Haircut was great, love the colour. My stylist Manal was sweet, listened to what I wanted and did a great job. Price is reasonable for the service and time you get. Love the little extras like lattes and text reminders of your next appointment.

I had a much better experience at the Mentone venue than the South Melbourne venue. All the girls working there were really nice. I was happy with my hair and the stylist really paid attention to what I wanted. Would be happy to go back again..

Rokk Ebony are fantastic. I always get what I ask for (unless their professional opinion is that it wouldn't work) and they always do a great job.

Their "up-do" stylist is very popular for weddings and has won awards - I am not surprised, I went there for my wedding and it was fantastic.

They are a bit expensive, but I think it's worth the money and have been going for years.

If you want a truly amazing hair style, these guys can't be beaten. For a wedding or corporate event this is definitely the way to go. They have won dozens of awards, and can offer advice on what style would suit each individual.
