Great spot for a quick bite to eat. Hearty Japanese dishes with a large variety on the menu. Prices are to suit the food, service is quick & customer turnover even quicker! Good for a weeknight in-out meal

Great food at reasonable price. I love their Lunch/Dinner box which comes with a choice of soup, entree, main and drink. I normally order Chicken noodle soup, Yakitori, Curry chicken on rice and Chocholate Milkshake- all for just $12(Lunch)/$15(Dinner)

I loved this place when i went. The food was great, the sushi and seaweed salad was amazing.

But the area is tiny and quite cramped. The prices were just as good as the food

the dinner box is certainly worth it being $14. It includes soup,entree,main meal and dessert, which you can all customize to your liking.
The food was served quite fast.
The waiters/waitresses were OK. Although, the place is very cramped downstairs. A cashier lady rudely shouted at us to get out because apparently we were in the way, but someone was paying at the counter so we could not squeeze past to get to the exit.
For the cashier lady- she needs to learn some manners.
This experience has left me annpyed and i am unlikely to go back there.

Good food and very reasonable priced. Lunch can be very busy as the lunch box special is favourite among students (Swinburne&MLC). Been there by the recommendation from a work colleague, and was happy with over all experience. Will be back again.

The Samurai Lunch specials are fantastic. They have a different daily combination and it is very, very affordable. If you are in during lunchtime then try the teriyaki chicken, it tastes fantastic! a must to visit during lunch hour in the Glenferrie Rd strip.

I've been to Samurai many times over the years, and this little Japanese restaurant always delivers excellent food at low prices.

The shop is tiny and usually very full. It can be tricky getting a table and the room can be quite noisy and busy. The food is excellent though. For those interested, you can often catch sight of Hawthorn footballers tucking into the healthy sushi and other Japanese delights.

I normally have take-away from Samurai, which doesn't take long and is also delicious and cheap. A much healthier and tastier take-away option than fish 'n chips!
