I always come here for Dumpling and Xiao Long Bao. They serve one of the best tasting fried pork dumplings in Melbourne apart from David and Camy in Box Hill. I would say this place is my second favorite dumpling place. The prices are reasonable and service is also pretty good. My one other favorite is the Dan Dan noodle- Homemade noodles with Spicy Mince Pork. The noodle is super spicy and might not be everyone's cup of tea.
Sometimes when they are super busy, the quality can get quite inconsistent though.

I used to eat at this place regularly back when I was still a Monash Uni student. They are only open during university hours. This place is always packed with budget conscious students at lunch and dinner hours. They sell cook to order fried noodles in a box and also rice dishes. My favorite is their special "Sambal chicken"-Chicken stir fried with vegetables and special chili sauce. It's only $6.50 and usually fill up for a long time. The portion sizes are generous. The lady boss is always friendly.

After hearing so many good comments about this place, I decided to go and have a try at their popular Hainanese Chicken Rice. I paid $9 for the meal and when it came out was quite surprised at how small the portion was. I felt that it's a bit overpriced, and the taste was just OK. Definitely not the best Hainanese Chicken Rice I have ever tasted. The lady owner/waitress was pretty rude and grumpy.

It's owned and run by an old Japanese couple. The wife serves and the husband cooks. Usually at lunch hour the wait can be quite long for foods to arrive because there's only 1 cook in the kitchen. I normally prefers to go at around 2-3 pm to avoid the lunch hour rush. My favorite is Ebi Don-Tempura prawn on top of egg thing with special sauce. The tempura is very crispy and the sauce is oh so tasty.

This is one of 4 Korean restaurants on the block, compared to the other 3 Korean restaurants, the prices here are slightly more expensive. But this restaurant has much bigger spaces and more seating than the other 3. The foods are quite good, authentic Korean dishes. My favorite dish at this place is the Ginseng Chicken (Sam Gye Tang).
The Bulgogis are also pretty good.

One of the Value for money eateries. The service is great, the owner/waitress always make sure we have enough rice, tea and always check if we are happy with the dishes. One of the most popular dish is Grandma Tofu (Minced pork and Tofu cooked in Hot Bean Sauce). Almost every table order that dish every time I go there. The decor is quite old and in need of renovations though.

Affordable, Authentic and Tasty. My favorite is the Nasi Uduk Ayam Penyet (fried Chicken with coconut rice), served with Tahu, Tempe, and Sambal(Most important condiment for ayam penyet). I would recommend all the grilled and fried stuffs but NOT the soups. I've tried both OX tail soups and soto betawi and they both tasted bland.

One of the best Indonesian restaurants and they serve the best Ayam Penyet (Deep fried chicken). The cafe is actually a huge garage and you can park your car inside the cafe. The service is a little slow though, even when me and my companions order the same dish, we don't usually get them at the same time.

Authentic Indonesian take away place. All dishes are ready cook and placed in Bain Marie. They are always very busy so dishes always fresh due to high turnover. My favorite would be their Indonesian style deep fried chicken and rendang(curried beef). Every saturday they have specials such as Lontong Sayur(curried vegetables and indonesian rice cakes), Siomay (Indonesian Dumpling)and Bakmi Ayam( Chicken dry noodle)

Great Thai food, many varieties of dishes to choose from and affordable. The waitress/waitresses are friendly and the owner is usually there too. We sometime get free traditional thai cake for dessert from the owner. One of the best Tom Yum and curries.
