I have purchased a few things now from Scoopon, i've had only one problem as well, that was handled well with a good result ending in full refund in no time at all, with a very happy end result.

There is always great deals for going overseas and short trips around Australia that help us to see this wonderful country of ours.
Also heaps of items for gift giving and to spoil yourself.

Scoopon has saved us so much money in the last couple of years. We have bought race track driving gifts, skydiving, restaurants, and shows. Such a good way to save a few dollars and go out and have some fun!

The most recent items I bought were Swisse slim shakes which were delivered very fast. I have also bought an unlimited dumplings voucher, Revlon mascaras and car wash vouchers.
It's a great way to save a bit of money on items you would every day anyway!

Love getting emails everyday from these guys. I love checking out the awesome specials that are in my area. I have brought a hair package from this site, and it was great. I will definitely use this site.

I have bought only one scoopon so far for a cheap massage. The massage was one of the best though. It's good for introducing new businesses, but I get maybe 3 or 4 emails a day with the same things on offer. And a lot of them are in the city which is too far for me. Site is free.

This is yet another one of those bargain sites where you pay upfront the 'special' amount and can redeem it later.
The deals ARE very good - but in all honesty, after a couple of weeks being signed up with them you do tend to get sick of the daily emails!
I have purchased a few things and never had a problem with the process, although one important thing to keep an eye out for is THE EXPIRY DATE!! Some of the deals can be for a week or a month only - one particular deal was only for 2 days and I missed it and was really annoyed. When I raised it with them, explaining how I was a first time user and didn't understand, they are unwilling to help in anyway except apologise. I guess I understand this, but beware!

Although I have never purchased from here, I have to say I was very disappointed at my mailbox being bombarded with emails. I didn't even sign up for an account, I stupidly entered my email address to "get todays deals" & the next day I had email after email from them. And none the links to "unsubscribe" worked on any of the emails, neither did the link's address, and I couldn't change my preferences on the website as I didn't have an account! So I ended up emailing them & I did have a reply with in an hour saying I had been unsubscribed...and no emails since.
They do have some good deals & I would have been happy to subscribe if I got an email every few days, not 5+ in one day.

Stay clear of this company. They are okay until you have a problem and then there is no way they will give you a refund or help you out. Their competitors, Cudo, Groupon, Livingsocial all offer no questions asked refunds, yet Scoopon will never give you your money back even though they state they have a refund policy on their website, They will make every possible excuse they can come up with when the time comes, to not honour their refund policy. They are a scam company.

Scoopon is pretty much single handedly saving my "date night" committment this year.
My husband and I struggle sometimes, as I think many people do, to get any "us time" so we decided to implement weekly date night on a Tuesday. We do the usual video night (cheap night at Blockbuster), cheap movies at cinemas and all that, but much of it gets old pretty quickly. Enter scoopon.
Sometimes there is really nothing of interest available, other times I buy 6 vouchers in a month, but either way, it is always good fun to check it out.
When I first started using the site (or app on my phone now) it was pretty much just vouchers for activities, which I really loved. Now they have products and stuff, which I actually dislike, they have lost focus a bit, but it still has useful things on it.
We have come across heaps of different things, which is the best bit. Buying random vouchers have been us try out heaps of different cafes, breakfast bars and restaurants, but also try different activities like comedy club shows, brewery tours, photography tours and canoeing on the river.
Not everything works on our Tuesday night, so sometimes we have to be flexible and transfer our days, but we are having a lot of fun, and saving heaps of money, which we desperately need to be doing at the moment.
The only thing to be aware of is that they all have expiry dates, and it can be a bit easy to miss them. There is no warming or anything like that provided by the site, so we make sure we print them out and attach them to the fridge with a post it note of the expire date so that we can make sure we book by the required date and don't waste the money.
Also - make sure you read the small print. Been tricked once not reading it properly and ended up wasting about $40 because the voucher didn't cover what we actually needed and we had to buy extra stuff to use it at all.
Worth a look at next time you are online, even if you don't end up interested.

I've had a few interesting encounters with this site. I've purchased some amazing restaurant coupons, but sometimes they've closed my account for no reason. Also, because it's linked to catch of the day, when they are having a massive sale, it's impossible to log onto my scoopon website. Other than that, they do have pretty amazing deals, just watch out for their customer service.

I bought a voucher for a trip to the snow with some friends. I found out shortly after that the bus my friends were booked on was full. I sent a polite email to scoopon asking for a credit to use on another offer as I could not go with my friends and didn't want to go alone. After a few emails exchanged, they would not refund me the money.

They are money hungry with no loyalty to customers. DISGUSTING.

I have purchased a range of products/services/meals and haven't had a negative experience yet! I've found some of their deals to be a great way to try things that I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford to do at full price!

This is definitely the best of the discount websites. It has a easy to use phone app and offers some great deals from dining to travel to beauty experiences. Once I needed to call up customer service.. I was waiting on hold for faaaar to long (they need to sort that out!!) but when we finally got thru they were very helpful!

One of the best Coupon Sites and very reliable. You do need to check it daily to see if their is anything you want. I've bought numerous coupons & used most of them. Sometimes sucks you in & then you never use the coupon.

Until now I bought 6 coupons. Comparing to other similar coupon sites, Scoopon service is more reliable -- in terms of customer service and quality of product. It requires your patience to get the order delivered or to find a place to redeem the coupon. But some are real good bargains.

bought some scoopons for hair treatment. It was really cheap but the services provided by the hair saloon is terrible. It was a disastrous experience i had.

It's difficult to explain how the deals work but let me try my best.

You get enough people interested in a deal, deal becomes available and everybody is happy. Other times you won't be so lucky.

They had $2 whopper burger + chips deal, I ordered 5 coupons!

Really, the usefulness of this place is situational. If you don't expect to get a grand bargain all of the times you may be happy with the deals and opportunities they offer.

Scoopon is an email Group Buy company. When they advertise a product, one expects the product is available. It is not until the business they sell coupons for, JDs Kitchen, closed down that I tried to phone Scoopon for a refund. They do not supply a phone number for enquiries or complaints.
I had bought 2 coupons for $19 each for dinners. Scoopon were not willing to refund the money, even though the business was closed down. Hamilton Bowling Club, where JDs were, instructed me to contact JDs, somehow, but they were no longer at that club.
Time was wasting and Scoopon could not be called. Eventually, I located an email address for Scoopon and Helga said they would not make a refund.
Who got my money?
No one honored this purchase. The business closes and disappears, and I suffer the loss !
This is not acceptable, Scoopon.

And stop spamming me with about 6 offers a day too!

Tried to use scoopon to promote a deal for my buisness for over two months. I would not get call backs they would not return phone calls even when i asked for national managers i still did not get responses. There are plenty more of these buisnesses spring up and they manage to respond within hours of enquires. Will never use this company again and will pass this on to all my contacts.
