She actually listens to what you are after and clearly has such in depth experience, knowledge and skill.
Amanda has given me such amazing cuts and colours, from striking blue and purple vivid colours, to stunning natural honey blonde highlights.
She will talk options though with you and answer questions to achieve the look that you are after. She is so accomodating and goes above and beyond.
I couldn't recommend her more highly!!

Prior to going to this salon, I read the raving reviews, so I booked an appointment with [redacted personal identifier] over the phone. When I went in, she told me she had a cold and couldn't do my hair, so [redacted personal identifier] there did my hair. Long story short, she made my hair look like a stripy black and blonde zebra looking mess, and I was in hysterics. [redacted personal identifier] spent hours trying to fix my hair, all the while telling me how bad [redacted personal identifier] was and how she had done the same thing to another client's hair a few weeks ago. She literally spent the next few hours complaining about [redacted personal identifier] and how bad her work ethic was. I spent 7 hours at the salon that day after the awful experience, had my hair highlighted 4 times and ended up leaving with the same dark brown that I walked into the salon with rather than the light honey brown that I wanted and [redacted personal identifier] still had the nerve to charge me full price. I attributed the failure to [redacted personal identifier] and not her, so I thought I would give her another chance. However, the last two times I booked with [redacted personal identifier], she sent me text messages a few days before the appointments cancelling the appointments "due to health reasons" and stated that she wouldnt be taking further appointments indefinitely. I would have happily excused the inconvenience had she had the courtesy to pick up the phone and notified me of the cancellation rather than done it via text. And I know she was fine enough to speak on the phone because I called her after she cancelled my appointment. She may be a good hair dresser, but I guess I will never know. Very unprofessional, this woman has no regard for customer service.

You know that hairdresser you dream of meeting...... The one that.... Actually listens to what you want and offers professional advice on how best to achieve the end result. Offers a State of the Art Studio without a State of The Art price tag. Loves what she does. Always makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Makes you feel like a Million Bucks!!! I had a great experience with Amanda! She listened to what I wanted and offered advice when I didn't know what I wanted! The salon is clean and modern, and you have a great time while your there! As soon as my baby is born ill be back for some much needed hair attention! Great Prices too!

Amanda at Selu has changed my hair from the biggest boofiest unruly mess to at last something I love! She is amazing! Always so friendly and helpful. I took a leap of faith and decided to get the keratin treatment and I was so pleased with the results! It took all the frizz out of my hair and left it nice and wavy, easily dried just like I was after! Seriously couldn't find a better, amazingly priced hairdresser.

When you find a great hairdresser, keep going back! Not only does Amanda know exactly what to do with my hair (even during difficult growing-it-out phases) but she manages to get my fidgety 4yo son into the chair. One thing I love about going to a self-employed hairdresser is knowing that the money you pay is going to the expert doing the work.

When it comes to haircuts, I find someone I like and stick with them. But when they're charging $80 a cut, it can sting, especially when your only working part time. I decided to take a risk and suss out SELU. It paid off. Amanda did an amazing job and only charged me $25. I'm so glad I took that risk.

Amanda has been doing my whole family's hair for quite a few years now including keratin straightening, colour, cuts and highlights for me, and cuts for my husband and two teenage children.
