Very tasty and affordable dumplings in the city. There's always line to get a table. The Dan Dan noodle also pretty amazing- has generous amount of meat and heat.

The dumplings look almost perfect and identical. Affordably priced dumplings, really delicious.

Shanghai Street is probably one of the busiest restaurants in this area. Every time I go there is long queues outside. The food itself is worth the wait, the xiao long bao dumplings are the best that I've eaten in Melbourne. I like the stir fried rice cakes. The service isn't all that friendly and it seems that they just want you to eat quickly so they can get someone else in your table. Prices are affordable, so the poor service can be forgiven.

The dumplings here are really very good - whether steamed or fried, Great food at brilliant prices. Expect to wait and don't expect first class service.

one of my fave dumplings place in Mel. this small resto always have long queue. The service is fast and food is really cheap. They have the best Xiao Long Bao here. I definitely recommend this place especially to those who love dumplings!

It was certainly busy on the day I chose to dine there on a weekday lunch hour. For me personally seeing a busy eatery it must mean the food is good right?
service is non-descript, the wait staff are quick to get your order and move onto next waiting customer-which is fine by me

now most importantly the dumplings were good tasting and reasonable priced, about $10 is enough to spend

Approximate cost: $10

quickest wait for dumplings and MAN WERE THEY CHEAP AS the restaurant itself wasn't very flash looked a bit rundown and dirty almost and everything else besides the food was self serve but if you're in just for cheap dumplings then this is the place for you

Visited this place a number of times, loved it every time.
They have different types of dumplings, and I did try a few different types, but I liked their recommended ones the best.
They taste great and I'm happy with their prices (10-15). I brought my friends here a few times, and they were all very happy. Will visit again soon.

Really delicious and great value. High on quality of execution, ingredients and experience. I was really impressed. Particular highlights were the xiao long bao and the wontons. Serving sizes was generous. Fillings were also generous and flavoursome. The sauces were appropriate and made properly. My wontons, came with chili oil, peanut and sesame sauce and topped with spring onion and crushed peanuts.
At under $10, for each dish and servings the size of main dishes, this place was great for a quality bargain meal in pleasant surrounds.
