This is a beautiful cafe in Caloundra. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious with a range of gluten free options available.

I like it here. Coffee is nice and the position great. Most places are filled with kids and hard to enjoy a quiet cuppa but I found here to be quite serene. Breakfast is nice too.

I have been here a couple of times now and really enjoyed the experience. I would recommend both the breakfast and lunch. They also specialise in delicious cakes and offer a high tea. Located near the beach on Caloundra, street parking avaliable. Lovely spot to go for a coffee and cake.

This is one of the more expensive places that we visited in Caloundra. Range of cakes excellent. Coffee was very good. Service first time was excellent - good with kids and recommendations. Service second time was a bit rude.

I was at the Shingle Inn last week for afternoon tea. I love the atmosphere, I ended up deciding to get some carrot cake and a coke. The carrot cake was delicious. The prices aren't cheap, but the food is delicious, the staff very nice and the location is only a street away from the beach, so can't really complain. I love going here every few months for a treat. I always sit outside when I go, as its a nice place to sit outside when the weather is nice.

We went here for a Birthday lunch - and the staff forgot to bring out the birthday girls' food. Disappointing. A huge range of cakes and slices. We had some, and they look better than they taste. Hubby ordered Eggs Benny and choked it down. Doubtful we'd go back.

This Shingle Inn was new to Caloundra this year - the chain appears to be expanding. They are quite souless compared to the old shop in the city, but the food remains the same. The cakes were nice but a little dry but the coffee was great. The young man who served us was exceptionally nice and family friendly. Chain business, not a special business any more I'm afraid.

Approximate cost: $5
