I have been making my bread for more years than I care to remember. Shortly after Carol and Ken Bates started with their business I adapted to their no knead method which I taught at U3A for many years. Prior to this my kids had dared me to enter my bread in Royal Melbourne Show with amazing results with numerous prizes over the years. Maxis at Upper Ferntree Gully has always had the many flours that I use, but sometimes is short of supplies since covid 19. My daughter has been good enough to pick up at Seaford. Have used all the flours and mixes, with the spices etc - all excellent quality. Wouldn't use any other

Firstly did the bread course 30 plus years ago and continue to learn and make great bread and other goods every second day. The quality of their products is always absolutely trustworthy for best quality, freshness and promoting good health as well as great taste. To top it all off their service is excellent. No commercial breads can even come close.

In all the 30 years of making my two loaves almost every week (except when i was abroad for 4 months) I have found these products always to have a satisfactory finish. I have also made the buns at Easter and the danish pastry and fruit loaves and well the bread rolls have been a favourite with all our friends and family too. First did the bread course more than 20 years ago and continue to bake delicious, wholesome bread. Love all the products and being able to get it locally in rural Victoria is wonderful. It is the best therapy to bake your own bread knowing it is healthy and easy and family always enjoy immensely .

Attended classes in 1994 have always made our bread since. Quality untreated flours, superb results every time, made most recipes in book over time, first class value, customer service and delivery every time. I always recommend SNK to anybody wanting a quality home made bread with minimum work at a great price.

They for sure live up to there name when it comes to putting their customers first as they were great with all their freshly baked goods. Will definitely return when I go back to Narooma in december.

Attended a bread making demonstration. Instruction and presentation was simple and clear. And, you can sample the products baked. A good learning experience and questions are welcomed.

Many years ago when Carol first started I attended all the baking courses and made bread all the time. I moved to Darwin and have now returned to Victoria and I have found that I can get all my ingredients delivered so I am looking forward to baking again and smelling the beautiful aromas in the house.

If you are into breadmaking and like the convenience of shopping online then 'simply no knead' is definitely a place worth checking out. They do deliver interstate too, and its quite reasonable charged.
I am a fan of their sweet bread mix and sourdough mix. Though they do offer a lot more than bread mixes and also stock grains, herbs, dried fruits, books, tins, trays and more.
Ordering is easy and delivery is never a problem.

They post out products, even to me in the country, postage is an issue so I usually stock up at Maxi's FernTree Gully's store when visiting my son who lives nearby. Love the Dark Rye Mix and the bread it makes in my magic breadmaker for us to enjoy daily.
