worth it . very authentic, excellent service

I love the set up here, and being able to watch the chef cook is a bonus, We recieved a gift card as a present and were impressed with the food quality. Tender, tasty and presented immaculately.

This place is expensive yes, but worth it. The food is so delicious and the atmosphere is just lovely. I loved the sunken tables and the helpful friendly staff.

We went to this restaurant after having a fantastic experience at the other Sono restaurant at Portside in Hamilton so we had high expectations. Unfortunately we were let down. The atmosphere is nowhere near at nice, it just didn't feel as cool, funky and clean as the Hamilton restaurant. We also ordered the same food we'd had at Hamilton and it was nowhere near as good. Definatly not worth the expensive prices. If you want to try this restaurant do yourself a favour and go to the Portside one instead, it's just so much better.

Authentic Japanese food. Quite expensive. Sushi and sashimi are very fresh. The staffs are very helpful.

We have been to Sono so many times. It is always fantastic, fast service, sashimi so fresh it almost jumps off the plate. The wine list has improved as well. The cost is reasonable compared to many

This is the best Japanese in Brisbane. Its expensive but its fabulous, my partner introduced me 2 years ago and we've been going every since. Very very highly recommend!

The food is very fresh and authentic. Service is friendly which is to be expected. Every time I call to book, I always seem to get the message bank but they are good at getting back to me to confirm my booking.

I bring my guests to Sono. I often have lunch there. They can survive in Japan, I think. The only thing that I do not like is that sometimes they use small plates for putting tea bags as soy source dipping plates for Sashimi. Better find something different plates. But that's all. Everything else perfect.

Highly recommended. Excellent food and service. Very busy on a Friday night - bookings recommended. Food and drink orders were delivered promptly. Definitely recommend the sashimi and sushi platters - fresh and delicious
