I agree with the first reviewer. In fact, I had forgotten about how disappointed I've been with the service at Spotlight on a variety of occasions; I saw the review come up in my feed and thought: hey! Spotlight really deserves to know that their service isn't quite up to scratch.

Sometimes I think that bad training or a grumpy attitude can be contagious!

Once, at this store, I made the mistake of asking whether I could buy a hat to see if it matched my costume, and whether the returns policy allowed a return if it didn't match.

I was lectured thoroughly on the policy of no costume returns, ever, as if somehow I was trying to do the dodgy. I also don't like asking the assistants for erm... assistance... because I've been spoken to like I'm a bit silly, more than once.

I don't really know why this has happened. I prefer to shop for craft supplies elsewhere. (Studying teaching, there are a lot of craft supplies to buy sometimes!)

I am surprised to hear of your bad service. The staff I have dealt with have been very helpful. I have waited awhile when they have been very busy serving in the fabric section. 1st time I forgot to take a no. which was a bit embarrassing. I recently bought great sheets on special -cotton rich KSB which can be very difficult to find if you don't want sets for 1/2 price as advertised

i know i cannot judge a store just by the service of one person. But the service i received was bad bad bad!!no hello, no smile, no thanks. the look on her face tells me that she doesn't want to be serving me. well if that is the case, pack your bags and leave! the quality of the products are good, and cost is reasonable.. next time hopefully i will receive better customer service..
