Our first ever stay was just incredible. Friendly helpful staff, luxurious surroundings and they went out of their way to make sure everythign was satisfactory

This is a quality hotel with reasonable prices.

Stamford is pretty glamorous to look at from the front and even inside the foyer but dissapointment strikes once inside the rooms. ideal for business stays but i would steer clear if you're thinking for a special occasion. Room service and Harry's restaraunt are great and food qualty is very good. If you were to spend money on 1 of the pent houses you would not be dissapointed but who has the money to do that?? There are much more affordable stays in melbourne for the same service in my oppinion.

Having stayed in Stamford Plaza in Adelaide, we decided to continue on with the Stamford experience with a further week in Stamford Plaza Melbourne. We were upgraded to an executive suite and the room was luxuriously decorated, with a huge kitchen, lounge & dining area, seperate king sized bedroom & marble ensuite. The valet was efficient & made sure our bags arrived in our room before we did. We found the staff to be friendly & accomodating, & having stayed all across the world in the top hotels, we can definately say Stamford Plaza has earnt our loyalty (thanks to the staff at Stamford Plaza Adelaide). It's good to know what you're getting when you travel, it takes the guess work out of it.

I THOUGHT THIS HOTEL WAS OVER RATED. NOT VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. POKEY LITTLE ROOMS YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO SUFFER FROM CLAUSTRAPHOBIA. WHAT HAPPENED TO PAYING FOR GOOD SERVICE AND FANTASTIC ROOMS!!

This was a nice hotel, but certainly not 5 star. I thought the rooms were a little tired looking. Location was great though. I stayed on a special stay pay deal which made it good value. I wouldn't pay full price.

Stayed at the Stamford Plaza as part of an online package. Was disappointed with this 5 star hotel. Check in was very robotic. There was only one other couple before me so it wasn't like there was a big long queue. Staff rushed check in procedure. It was factual, to the point and totally lacking in any wamth or friendliness. The room was nice enough although the kitchenette had not been cleaned properly.
