Although I don't frequent here often I do enjoy the steak sandwiches they sell, cooked perfectly and not overlly chewy like many competitors. The chips are cooked fresh to order and tasty not full of fat

Despite the small size of the store they certainly produce great tasting take away, they try to offer a bit of everything. You have your great tasting fried foods (chips fish etc) or freshly prepared steak sandwiches etc, along with fresh salad rolls. The staff have always been friendly too

I wasn't aware of this store until a year or so back when they won the best take away on LAFM, since then we have stopped a few times. The food is always hot and well cooked and seasoned, the menu caters most take away needs and everything is reasonably priced

This would have to be one of the nicest takeaways in launceston, the only problem is that they are a little dearer than other takeaways. they do lunch & dinner deals that work out cheap but to feed 2 people chips you would need $5 worth as they are small servings. Their fish is beautiful, never greasy but not dry either. The staff are nice but they dont like to chat while you're waiting for your order

now here is a take away fish and chips shop that i enjoy their food especially there fish the food is cooked right before your eyes so you can see what conditions your food is cooked in shop and staff are clean, food is quite filling and enjoyable

staff have always greeted me with a smile and had a chat when i have been there. Such friendly staff. They have a large variety of food, personally my favourite hot chips and the flake. Food is cooked freshly. And they're always opened fairly early in the morning, earlier then most takeaway stores ive been too and they're open to late aswell. Overall rating for everything A+++++. Definately recommend :)

Summerhill takeaway does the best flake i have ever tasted. The staff are always friendly and are always smiling. The food is freshly cooked while you wait and is really well priced. When we lived in launceston we would often go up to prospect just to buy there flake. They also do meal deals up as well. The store is always clean and have never found it to have the old oil smell to it which is good.
