A total rip off

Complete waste of time and money ($10pp) here. I have no idea why they named it as "Castle". The name should be "Dolls in Castle". More than half of it was inaccessible. You have access to creepy, old, rundown doll house which is completely boring. Watching it from outside is better than paid watching from inside. Never recommend.

I thought this would be a fun experience for my children. I expected more than an empty castle. I thought there might be some actual demonstrations or people dressed up and performing or something. It was a total waste of money and the creepy doll display is just bizarre.
This place has potential to be a much better attraction if the owners would make an effort. The girl working at the entrance was pleasant and helpful. I can't imagine anyone having a wedding there.
I really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My expierence was great at the castle, despite it being a bit expensive. It was fun exploring what a medieval castle would really be like, and interesting to learn about ye old lifestyle. The doll displays were strange, but I prefered the ones that were nursery ryhmes - maybe make this as a different section. The layout of the castle was quite confusing also. Although, going to the top tower was fun and had great views of the town!

I'm going to be really honest with this review. Bli Bli castle is a total rip off. We visited in January. 3 adults, 3 kids. It is overpriced and there is nothing to do. We've been to real castles in the UK and didnt expect the same, but we thought it might have some atmosphere. They offer you dress up clothes, and then your expected to just walk around the castle (empty run down dusty old building with a view of the dirty yard behind). There is a freaky doll museum at the back...not quite sure what that has to do with castles. We expected something like Old Sydney Town used to be, with people in costume leading you around, a town cryer, a judge, someone on the rack, loud traditional music, peasants, someone stoking a fire etc etc. Nothing... an empty building that we walked around in 5 minutes, to be greeted by a dusty gift shop and the smell of chip fat at the end. The fact they have a sign at the end advertising weddings is laughable. Come on Sunshine Castle, get your act together, refurb, spend some money on staff and make it worth while for people to visit...you might actually get more customers through the door!

Approximate cost: $14 per person

Great review - wish I'd seen it before wasting my time and money going there.

Sunshine Castle has been having a grand make-over in the last couple of years, so there is so much going on around there now. A lovely spot for a cup of coffee and a piece of strudel, or some terrific German knackwurst if you want something more filling. now there are markets on the first Saturday of the month, too!
