Ted's Camera Store

I went to buy my nikon their and the service was great and they were helpful but i did feel they were trying to pressure me into buying other things a bit much and for the thing i had bought they forgot to tell me i needed different size filters for the lens to what they had sold me. Besides the service the i've had no trouble with what i've bought from them.

They have quite a large store here and being in the market for an SLR I wanted to go somewhere with a little more experience and variety. I had to wait a little while for service, but seriously the service I received was exceptional. She was incredibly friendly and very knowledgable too, suggesting cameras and lenses. I got to play around with a few models to a get feel for them too. She wasn't pushy or eager for a sale and was very patient with my lack of knowledge!

The staff know alot about cameras and will help you find the right one for you. Keep an eye out for their sales as they usually are the best priced for that product. You also get a club card and other incentives

I have purchased several things from Ted's over the years Including a Sony video camera, Pentax SLR camera, Kodak easy digital camera, Nikon F 80 Film camera, Nikon SLR D80 digital camera and had photo's developed by them. When I have purchased the camera's I have been given free membership of Ted's camera club. This has intitled me to so many free photo developments a month for twelve months

Part two of my camera hunt. After the debacle at JB, the next step was to try another store. The staff member was very helpful; rather than challenge my choices, she helped me understand what I could get from one model and not the other. In addition, the cameras had batteries so I could take shots and feel what it's like in-hand. Problem was, they didn't have some of the models I wanted. So, although competitive on price vs JB, I still couldn't fully road-test some of the units.
