Dining here makes for a very enjoyable evening. Staff are very attentive without hovering, drinks were served in a timely manner upon request and priced as to be expected.
The meals are served hot and we didn't wait long at all despite being rather busy

We had a very pleasant dinner here and would happily go back. The duck breast and lamb we had for main course was well cooked and tasty, however the 'spring vegetables' we had as a side were awful. They were complimentary with the meal, however I would have been happier without them. They were undercooked frozen packet vegetables. The dessert we shared was delicious though- peanut butter and chocolate parfait, and the staff were also very friendly. A nice comfortable venue if you're staying at the country club.

This was truly a fine dining experience. The gourmet meals were exceptionally delicious and diverse, and beautifully presented. I loved the variety of flavours, and the interesting combinations of ingredients to provide an evening of taste sensations. In between courses we were served little surprise tidbits and palate cleansers. Very refreshing. The service was wonderful - the waiters were extremely friendly and attentive, giving informed advice on choices of meals and drinks, topping up our water glasses automatically, etc. (I'm not used to having a waiter with a cloth over his arm appear at my side unexpectedly!) This was delightful.
This is not the type of restaurant we usually dine at, but wanted to try something different. I'm very pleased we did.
The Terrace is advertised in the Entertainment Book, with a 25% discount up to $40-, so if you had an Entertainment Book and want to try some fine dining I would highly recommend this restaurant. (I'd recommend it even if you don't have the Book!!)

Dinner for two consisted of entree of a choice of oysters (natural with lemon and cucumber and wasabi sorbet) and slow cooked lamb neck, pine nut and pea risotto, rosemary scented tasmanian honey. Rustic breads were complimentary with olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. The entrees were delicious and were followed by a palate cleansing tidbit. Mains were 220g eye fillet, cape grim northern tasmania served with garlic and potato cream, spinach, tempura enoki mushrooms, grain or french mustard,
wasabi mousse, red wine jus. Accompaniments were vegetables and chips. Surprisingly there was no salad available or horseradish sauce. The steak was absolutely perfect and the accompaniments were satisfying. Again, this main meal was followed by a palate cleanser which was beautifully refreshing. We didn't indulge in dessert, having eaten more than our fill with the entree and mains. Coffee followed with lovely little morsels of chocolate and biscuit. The wine list is huge and the wine chosen with the assistance of our waiter was a perfect partner with the meal we had. Although not a cheap dining experience, it was well worth the visit and we will certainly be dining there again. The ambiance and service are exceptional.

Approximate cost: $180
