the chicken with cashew nuts was too sweet and the sauce didn't really taste thai. The service was alright and the price was bit over. The location was very good and easy to find.

I'm not a huge fan of the Thai in Newtown - perhaps it's just the cheap lunch specials but they seem to be more oily and stodgy than I'd like and don't have that searing taste and freshness that great Thai has. So definitely a good place to go for a cheap big feed and perhaps a little better than some of the others on the strip but not a standout.

I found this shop to offer inferior quality Thai food in comparison to other Thai shops in Newtown. While the price is cheap, if you go for a lunch special, the food is not so great. Hardly any meat, and heaps of big chunky vegetables. I was pretty disappointed as I could have cooked it myself.

food taste great with great portion, well worth the money. customer service is reasonable alright. the setting is rather mundane could use a bit more jazz. offer a wide variety of choices from the menu. plus the lunch time special is add valve for your money.

May be I don't like Thai food,but honestly ,it is not very expensive.SO if you like Thai food ,you can try,at least ,my friend think it is really good.and the service is not bad,nice waitress

Thai Times 9 is absolutely my favourite Thai restaurant. Everything is excellent. Very cheap lunch specials and very reasonable dinner prices too. The curries are excellent and their Pad Thai and Cashew Nut & Chillli Jam are the best I have ever tasted. The fried rice is also one of the tastiest I've had. The outdoor seating area is relaxed and peaceful, the service is friendly and one of the best in Newtown, and I love eating here and never hesitate to bring visitors.
