Revisited this hotel for lunch recently and was still very happy with the service and food quality. We had the Roast of the Day and the Fish and Chips. There is also a 'hot foods' servery, which you can help yourself from. Nice to see that things haven't changed.

The Castle Tavern is on the end of the Castle Plaza and has always had good priced pub meals. Recently enjoyed roast of the day here and although this is not a trendy pub it has good meals and service.

The Castle Tavern has a front bar plus a separate small dining area. Not ultra modern, so if you're looking for 'trendy', then this isn't the place for you. If on the other hand, you are looking for a pub that is clean, friendly and offers nice food at reasonable prices, then I definitely recommend.
There's a small room at the back with some pokie machines, if you're into that side of things.
It also has a Sail covered area out the front, with table and chairs if you want to sit outdoors.
It is connected to the Castle Plaza Shopping Centre, right across from Coles. A great place for a tasty meal.

This tavern, which has been for as long as I can remember, is a good spot for a pub lunch when shopping in the adjoining shopping mall. Usually find that the roast of day is a good price and the serving is generous. Not extremely modern but clean and friendly.

A nice place to grab some food. Its not overly posh inside and the food is your basic pub meals. Its very inexpensive and a grat place to stop for lunch when shopping. They also have pokies and a tab.

The lounge area is a comfortable place to have a meal and just feel relaxed. The lunch menu is a reasonably priced, and a good variety to choose from.

Great value for money schnitzels and salad combos, with a friendly staff and chilled out atmosphere. Not a glamorous place for dinner, but ideal for a quick drop in (as it is part of Castle Plaza Shopping Center).

We found the staff to be very friendly and happy. The service was good, value was OK and the variety was great. Well done will visit again. We found the variety of beer was good and even better as it was icey cold.
