Lovely restaurant for dinner and consistently serves great quality food. WE love coming here, especially in winter as it has a really cosy feel about it. Never had a bad meal, prices are average compared to others in the area - recommend!

we came here on our first trip to the hunter... we were not expecting much. it was a Monday night and all the other restaurants were closed. We were bot happy to discover that we were wrong and this place is a lovely, somewhat hidden gem. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was quick and nice without being intrusive. Would certainly recommend it to others.

I had a 2 course, entree and main. 2 of my friends had the chef's tasting, 3 entrees and 3 wines.

I had the duck confit with foie gras - delicious!
Barramundi for main - very crunchy fish and yummy salad on the side consisting of asparagus and baby beetroots with heaps of garlic cloves.
Applicious cocktail - little bit strong with the cinnamon vodka but as the iced melted in the drink was yummy ...

the chef's tasting was delicious, filling and cheap at $70. We thought 3 entrees weren't filling but we wre wrong as the third dish was quail it filled the girls up.
First entree was prawn with i forgot the pasta name - the one that looks like chinese wonton; anyways it was crab meat. The prawn was fresh and nicely marinated but the pasta was too thick and unappealing.
The second entree was the duck confit and foie gras.
Third entree was quail and liver, not a fan of the mushiness of liver but the quail was yum!

The accompanying wine sizes were surprisingly gereous, about 1.5 times the starndard serving size and all 3 were beautiful. We ended up going to Alandale's winery to purchase the same wine we tasted at the dinner.

Service, ambience, price all receives big ticks from all 4 of us. With 2 ladies who have high standards and taste

Approximate cost: $70
