Three times I have been here for their buffet menu. I am a seafood person and the fresh prawns balmain bugs oysters and side mixed seafoods hot and cold have never failed. I went as part of a special deal sharing a meal with a friend for the cost of one instead of two. I would hesitate at paying full price although in the city their prices are still cheaper than say the sheraton on the park. I have found the seafood to be ALWAYS fresh. You can order a hot lobster at an extra cost of $30. I sat near the glass at the back on a rather cold night and did not think that was a wise move, although the view of lights across the harbour was lovely. The cheeses are a small range, the breads and condiments light on. The hot dishes gave us roast beef thickly cut but pleasant in small amounts. Japanese noodles with chilli I think, a hot fish dish rice. This is not 5 star gourmet but a pleasant meal for those who wish to concentrate on the company while enjoying nibbling at your hearts desire over some hours. Drinks before hand at the small bar did not interest me although the chairs were inviting. Noise can be a problem in this environment if a large group deems to enjoy themselves. I mentioned prior to coming that we had a birthday boy in our midst and they brought out a complimentary small cup cake with choc name written on the plate for which i was delighted. I found the service to be non invasive which could sound like they did not care but the nature of the place is to allow you all freedom when you want and how you want and the drinks and cleaning of the table were more than adequate. A la carte is available but have not tried this service.

Approximate cost: $65>

Went their last night- it was very impressive. The hotel was very clean and grand and once you were seated in the buffet, I was very impressed with the service. There was not a variety of dishes but they were very nicely cooked- steamed fish, crab, rice, vegetables and beef. The fresh seafood was good too- but the oysters were small. The dessert was amazing- mix your own Movenpick icecream with candy and many cakes, custards and pies.

Approximate cost: $50

It's been awhile since my last visit to their seafood buffet. This time we bought a voucher from a group buy deals. The food is just as good, with new additions to the dessert section. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Food here has improved and the food seems to be more fresh and of better quality than before. The service is fine and the environment for dining is also pretty good.
