Arrived on time (Rang 1/2hr prior) ,well dressed in work clothes, inspected and found the problem within the sewer line.Explained what needed to be done. Progressed successfully with clearing a very huge blockage caused by various tree roots in main Water Authority pipes. Top professional plumber.

The Drain Man team were professional from the start to the finish.
They explained the process all the way along and in terms we could understand, did not try to baffle us with techno terms. Our plumber had all of the tools they explained to us on the phone and showed us where the drain was blocked with the tree roots on his camera.

Had tried a plumber first but they couldn't do the job and didn't even use a camera we wasted money and time now to mention we could have gotten sick from the spills and the smells. One thing we have learnt is we should have rung The Drain Man first.
We now understand why they are specialists in drains.

$495 for 19 mins or work and a wrong diagnosis. Agreed to the flat fee of $495 as I was advised it was an all inclusive deal that included detailed camera inspection, use of high pressure cleaner and use of drain clearing machine. Customer service was OK but the pricing model is completely flawed. Put aside the fact that I had to watch the plumber fluff around his vehicle, charge his equipment on site, put on gloves and a rain jacket as he stood and waited for the battery to charge, the actual work composed of 7 mins of a camera in a SW pipe and a bit of walking with a detector wand. In the end said he found a small 2 cm crack in a pipe under a deck and quoted ball park figure of $3-$3.5 k to put a sleeve. Turns out the problem was an elbow joint had completely disconnected just 8 inches from the crack he found (which BTW was a previously repaired crack that was still sound). Don’t know how his wiz bang equipment missed that, then again he was looking at his watch frequently. I ended up removing 3 deck panels, found the exposed pipe (not even buried and visible if he bothered to look) replaced for $63 and 4 hours of my time and running around to Bunnings. From the time he got out of his car to back inside was 29 minutes. Still tried to charge and extra $176 for next 30 mins slot as he was doing “paperwork” but said he would let it go. Very disappointing that I had to pay so much money and got a completely wrong Diagnosis. On following up with them and advising that the pipes were still blocked and I had only repaired the symptom not the cause, I was listened too and advised they would deal with it ASAP. However have since advised they don’t come out again as original inspection was OK. Still had to pay for all three services (plumber refused to leave otherwise) despite none of the services being carried out. Money well spent:(

After putting in a complaint to the Drain Man for my problems not being solved as per their "Zero Failure Policy" I was refunded the money in full. I did have to take time off work to fix the problems myself but at least the matter is now resolved. Thankfully.

Shane the drain man came out and was a brilliant help. Explained everything and sorted the issue out, would recommend him to anyone.

Steve and Victoria were very courteous and got onto the job straight away and found the problem and professionally explained how they would fix our sewerage pipes by relining. Thank you for getting onto the problem asap. Highly recommended.
