I have been here many times and left very happy. You have cheap vegan food from salads to Indian food. They also have vegan pies, sausage rolls and samosas.

Many vegans complain about the quality and the last time we were there we received grudging service and poor quality food (my friend chose poorly against my advice).

Now I am not a vegan, so this is where I go in West End when I need a healthy cheap meal.

One thing though, their vegan desserts are terrible. There are some places that serve great vegan desserts, so there is no excuse really. If they could just improve their desserts and have consistent quality, this place would be great.

The food is pretty bland. Just because it's vegetarian, doesn't mean it has to be boring. I like having something simple and healthy (Plastic processed cheese is not healthy ) we eat at all the other vegetarian cafes and have never had bad food like this - sorry guys will not be back and will not recommend your business to anyone ! Even the cake we purchased tasted like a pack cake ? You are going to have to step up and provide better quality food/service before we ever step foot back in the door , also clean your floors and walls - Dirty as ???

Any one that gives you a good review unfortunately does not know good healthy vegetarian food ; (

Yum yummy food. Service is ok, all at counter mostly so they leave you alone at the table which is fine, the food does the talking.

I often have lemon cheesecake and coffee here with friends approx once a month. Cheesecakes alone will have you salivating. Bain marie hot food is heaven. I tend to like the ones with a lot of veggies in it and curry. All is pure vegan food. Delicious.

Approximate cost: $11

The forest Cafe has the most freshest sandwiches I have ever tasted. They sold them last year at a vegan festival and I was so impressed at how fresh everything was (they use fresh beetroot which is so rare as a lot of places use tinned beetroot). I have also been to The Forest Cafe for lunch and they have great customer service as well as fresh tasty meals.

Approximate cost: $10

yummy vegetarian and vegan food, quality good enough for even the carnivores within our group and that really is saying something! super impressed and will come again.
