It's becoming a huge cliche to visit here. The main attraction is the deck. The demographic is usually the same (older ladies or mum's and prams), the music is ubiquitous Norah Jones or alike, the menu gives not much variety for vegetarian and gluten free. Service isn't really that attentive, once its a drink only, there's no danger in anyone approaching you for extras for ages. I only come here for a cuppa and a change of scene to enjoy the deck - though my coffee is burnt and below average. Not enticing at all.
Always a curious visit here for me. They've recently renovated - and raised some prices. And when the service is inconsistent, (though mostly friendly, depending on who you get and whether there is no sense of humour - from the floor staff to the takeaway coffee person) ... you realise the prices are to pay for the new decor and the great view. I always rate this place as ok, when you want something extra the staff arent there, when you dont, they are! So middle of the road venue for me. I'd like to love it more, I've just never been given a good reason to.
The cafe is wonderful and fresh with lots of lovely raw cakes, dairy and wheat, gluten free options and great coffee. Fresh organic fruit and veg, and bulk nuts, and other organic market goodies. Some items are a little expensive, its up to you how you value it though. lovely friendly staff and great opening hours.
Great new neighbourhood deli/fruit/veg/coffee - lots of lovely fresh stuff and gourmet goodies on the shelf. Dont go expecting a menu, but make your own! Nice tables out front to have coffee and whatever you've selected for your own picnic. That end of the road needed something, its a nice relaxed place. Little expensive on some of the prices though, however expected I guess, its not a supermarket.
These girls love and care for their coffee, think its Lisa that manages or works there? Love a cafe that actually asks how the coffee was. That shows great care for what they do. Friendly service and good opening hours.
Yum yummy food. Service is ok, all at counter mostly so they leave you alone at the table which is fine, the food does the talking.
Gorgeous decor of new cafe on Hawthorne Rd, busy already. Service needs settling in though, went to pay, wasn't acknowledged by someone at register for almost a minute, then others looked like deer in headlights type thing. Nice coffee though and beautifully set out, deckchairs on footpath so cute!
This is a new venue for this chain, and it needs more work! I went with a few people, the staff didn't give us a table number and assumed every order from everyone else there belonged to us - many redirections took place. One lady dropped her pastry - not one staff member came over to assist, clean, enquire. Poor. My pastry was dry, average. I'll come back to try once more, otherwise give it a miss for several months to see if it can get up to speed! This is Bulimba aftert all - plenty of choice competes.
Lovely visit, taken care of very well, great service, friendly and welcoming - great hair colour! I'll be back :)
I love this cafe, great atmosphere in the courtyard with cool music, laid back staff, lovely coffee and great quick service from a tasty menu.
