This a great place to come in winter to enjoy a wholesome, hearty meal in this cosy interior. The staff are very friendly and they make you feel welcomed. There is also a room upstairs to hear some live music once you have finished your meal!

I came here for a function and wanted to leave a review because it was the best function held at a pub that I've been to. Not just because of the company, but mainly because of the food! We were in the downstairs function room, which had quite a low roof so the loud music was pretty overpowering, but that wasn't the staff's fault! We were served a range of finger food that was so tasty and many of us were impressed. It ranged from pork belly bites to mini beef burgers, with a host of vegetarian options as well. There was also the standard party pies etc which everyone always loves. All in all, it was a really fun evening made even better by great finger food.

Really impressed with the overall quality of our night here. Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and service was just top notch! Interiors are immaculate, dark but very cozy. My mushroom ravioli was cooked beautifully and my partner was really impressed with his steak! He isn't a fan of potato gratin but polished it off within seconds.

I went here last year during new years and I thought it was fantastic too. I agree the staff were amazing and their food is so delicious.

Better atmosphere than outside on the street. Pitty you have to go through that first. Cosy pub with open fire places and variety of pub meals. Great meet after work few a few drinks and possibly stay for a meal.

Great bar and rooms. The main dining room is casual and enjoys lovely natural light, as it is a bit like a glass house. In the summer it can get a bit warm.

The menu is great pub food with a touch of flair. It is great value and the portions are generous.

I can recommend the burger and the fish is always cooked well.

Their take on a chicken parma might throw the traditionalists a bit, but it is served in a clay pot and is delicious.

It's up there with my favourite gastro pubs in the area.

Highly recommended.

Met on a Fri night for dinner and a few beers with a table booked in the casual dining area in the back behind the bar. An ok atmosphere but the staff were pretentious and forgetful and impolite. All 5 of us noticed at the time with one of us finally speaking out come time to pay the Bill. Result: no tip!
Nice food but nothing to write home about. I had the modern parma, but prefer the traditional.

Approximate cost: $18-28

Grand facade with a cosy interior. Food is usually pretty good. Great value mid week meals as well. Check out trivia on Thursday nights upstairs for a few laughs. Staff are friendly. Overall a great place for a few drinks to warms you up over winter.
