We went to The Grain Store for a work lunch. I would have liked more gluten free options to choose from, it seemed most meals had some sort of pasta or noodles, but I chose the beef cheeks, which was with vegetables, and it was delicious. The service was ok, meals came out quickly too considering how many were at our table. They had drinks from Daylesford, which I thought was a great touch.

We visited on Thursday for lunch and it didn't cost too much. It is a busy place but the food is wonderful without costing too much. Happy to visit again next time maybe for breakfast. Staff are friendly, thank you! Will recommend.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and perfect location if you're on the southwestern end of the CBD. They have an innovative menu, including serving breakfast until 12pm. The Corn fritter with avocado & poached eggs was a great choice for brunch. Good coffee as well.

Approximate cost: $20

A really good brunch/lunch cafe in the CBD. This one takes credit cards, unlike some others, which is much appreciated.
The surrounds are lovely, and the menu is absolutely delicious with a range of options for everyone

Went here for lunch on a weekend- after making a booking. It was quite busy so if you're set on coming here I'd book online first. Unfortunately we were hoping to order off their lunch menu, but this is not available on weekends, only their brunch menu. This was okay, however not clear.
Despite this, the food wasn't too bad. Their eggs based dishes looked great, and the salmon bagel was delicious. Their salmon in bouillabaisse was tasty, though it was quite strong so steer clear if you're not into something that strongly tastes of the sea. Particularly disappointing were their potato rostis- they just weren't.. It was like a dry lumpy mash cake, rather than a grated soft, buttery, traditional rosti. Their desserts as well as drinks and coffee were great though and the overall atmosphere was as good as many Melbourne weekend brunch spots.

First time here I was asked to leave midway through my coffee because they were expecting the lunch rush. Not the best first impression and a huge no-no in my book.

Went back to try the slow cooked Tasmanian salmon and it did not disappoint. Next time I'm going to try the desert as it looks phenomenal.

Went here for a brunch and was not disappointed. I had the best breakfast ever. The food looked and tasted absolutely amazing, loved the presentation. My coffee was perfect. The quality of the food was great, so fresh and tasty, definitely deserves a repeat visit but for lunch next time as I really liked the look of the menu.

The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. A very friendly relaxing atmosphere.

Definitely recommend you try.

The food was superb. I ordered the saltbush lamb confit, gnocchi, king prawn special and portobello mushroom & rosti. The food came out and it all looked amazing - great food presentation.
The staff were friendly and service as good and prompt. come back for sure

This place is definitely worth a repeat visit. The food was amazing and the menu had so many good options that it was a shame to have to only choose one dish. They also have deliciously looking rolls.

Approximate cost: $28
