Not a big fan of chain bars. But still does reasonable food and drink and they provide reasonable service. For the location it is pretty reasonably priced.

I had breakfast at The Groove Train on a Sunday morning. Seating was easy to find, the staff were pleasant, and the breakfast menu was extensive. When our meals came, the serving sizes were giant! I had an egg white omelette which was delicious. Great value for a fantastic location and good quality food.

I went here for a group dinner and it was awesome! I loved the food and it was really well priced! The service was great and everyone loved all of the food, drinks and desert! can't wait to come back.

I went to Groove Train for lunch a few days ago with some friends and was very disappointed with the service. We walked in and was barely acknowledged by the host who waved us over to a table. we then waited another 5-10 to order drinks, which took longer than they should have to come out, then we had to wait even longer for someone to come and take our food order. The food did come out fairly quickly and was very nice (albeit slightly expensive for what it was..).
It was a nice restaurant with good food, but the service was very disappointing.

On my last trip to Brisbane we decided to stop in here. The food is quite good and the prices were very reasonable. We stopped here for breakfast and ordered their savoury eggs which were cooked very well.

Good food at reasonable prices, particularily for Eagle st on the river. Good atmosphere and you can buy drinks at the bar which is handy if you're in a group.

Reasonable prices and pretty good food. Service could be improved. I don't like their cancellation charge for group bookings - it makes it less appealing for group dinner events like birthdays etc.

I have been to The Groove Train many times since moving to Brisbane. I've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and I usually recommend it to my friends, and to people who ask where is close and good (I work in a hotel now). The best time is definitely breakfast (before 11am I believe) - I highly recommend the savoury eggs! Lunch and dinner are good as well - their menu is very large. My mother in law does not recommend the seafood chowder, however.

Overall, I've never personally been disappointed. Good food, good coffee, beautiful view of the river - I will continue to recommend.

We were seated at the best table with a fantastic view of the Storey Bridge and service was really good, the staff are friendly and appear to like working there.

Approximate cost: $25

The menu provides an extensive choice and the location is good (right in King Georges Square). The service is better at lunch than at dinner. I have been to lunch there on several occasions and find the service is fast enough to have you in and out within an hour (if that is what you need). If you are expecting 5 star dining Groove Train will not provide this, but then they dont pretend to. They are good for large groups or a quick bite/drink after work.
