I could not fault the food, delicious. I love eating ribs when the meat falls off the bone and then melts in the mouth. I had both the steak (med/rare) and the ribs. The service was only lacking as I booked for 2 and they apparently didn't have a table and I was asked to return 1/2 hour later which I did. I was tempted to eat elsewhere. So today was their first day of service, they did do well. Upon return we were seated and drinks/order taken within 5 minutes, very good. The restaurant was 70% full by 7:30 and yet we still had to wait 50 minutes for the food to arrive. Our question to the staff was why didn't they offer us a drink at the bar or the surrounding tables. They risked us not returning and spending our $ elsewhere.

I must admit I scoffed the grilled fish, salad and chips (so fresh and tasty) so fast. Yes I was hungry however this plate had my taste buds jumping! Only let down was one waitress who took her time to take our order and never came back for 2nd drinks. Shameful. The veal parma looked and tasted pretty good but not as good as the grilled fish of the day.

I managed to speak to one of the owners and the area manager, both were polite to me. Discussed the benefit of including lactose free milk in coffees as an alternative than only soy milk. I loved the coffee, not overly bitter for taste.

I love shopping for Manchester and this weekend it was for towels. I adore luxury towels, thick & soft when washed. I also purchased 10 pillow slips. I had so much fun I went back 3 times. I spoke to Mum about the quality and the factory prices for the towels and they are not the small bath towels ok. Took her order & then purchased beautiful face washers for next years Christmas boxes. Yes everything has been washed and packed away. And I am so happy with my lot.
so please have a look you might be surprised by the quality too.

Meet the new owner and he was a pleasure to talk to. He knew his coffee beans and this made the experience all the more enjoyable. They have two types of roasted beans and this I like. Fragrant, not bitter and yes a short black that was tasty and light. Now if you want a mean chocolate milk shake ask Adam and then close your eyes; wicked.

This is the first time I have walked into an India Supermarket.
The variety and sizes like the different types of rice was amazing. I found pappadums made from Rice not chick pea of which I have a allergy to. I also found in the dairy cabinet fresh paneer cheese that I am going to subsitute right now for tofu because it doesn't crumble and has flavour like mozzarella. The service was a bit slow however very friendly with staff able to speak english clearly. They were kind to give me samples of indian sweets which I have found very delicious.

In a restaruant full of asias you know this place has to be good.
Yes we got picked as new diners so they explained what others order for DimSum. My husbands eyes are bigger than his mouth so he ordered 12 not 6 pork dumplings. We had to take half of our total order home! The service was wonderfully fast. The place was very clean. My husband has been asking to go back everyday to try something new. I loved watching the chefs with hats and masks on making the dumplings fresh in the front of shop so you can watch them from the footpath. It is amazing how fast the do the dumplings and noodles. Yum.

We walked in off the street right into the takeway area to be addressed by Jan herself. We we escorted to the front window table. The room is airy with very clean carpet and white table cloths (very important). Both my husband and I looked into the kitchen to see bbq pork meet being sliced by the chef so we ordered bbq pork with plum sauce. This is not what we normally order as a protein though the sauce was fabulous. The service was very quick which was good since I had low blood sugar at the time. We refreshed ourserves with the typical chinese (Jasmine) tea in beautiful clean teapot and cups (without the chips). The food was OK for me. No allergy ingredients, thank God. The only thing I would recommend would be larger portions. The size was too small however when we got up to pay we didn't complain about being overfull but the hunger had gone - yes just right. As they say smaller is the new big. We would differently go again when travelling to Essendon.

I have been on the look out for another beauty therapist who knows how to do a great leg wax (& bikini). I always have a great first experience then it commences to wane. Well I have had great results from Sasha at Chocolate Lily. The main thing for me is not having to clean up areas after a session (tweezering areas others neglect though charge for). Nor suffer the itching or 3 day regrowth. I love have sleek legs! An I'm not ashamed of asking for the best in service either. I'd rather not return to a business and be left disappointed with the results. So I recommend Sasha at Chocolate Lily, who knows how to wax along and not UP in the air quick and neat. When you go in tell them Maria Perri referred you and see what happens next.

Ok on Saturday night we had a small family gthering of 25 at cafe500. Yes it was noisey (we're not a quiet bunch) however the atmosphere called for it. The Cafe is named so because you see a 30 year old registered Fiat 500 in the restaurant. Beautiful to look at and a great talking point and photo opportunity. Now the food. Yummy!!! We mostly had many different antipasta dishes and the best was the calamarie & potatoe in lemon juice. So soft and tender and delicious and light on the palate. The coffee was the BEST I have ever experienced outside of my kitchen. Not bitter, no burnt tongue nor burnt beans, just perfect tasting and refreshing after the beautiful tasting meal. They have their own blend of coffee beans which you can purchase and grind at home and relive the experience daily at home.
