Great place for a family dinner, definitely not great for a function that's having a sit down dinner, the orders take a long time and come over scattered. For a function with finger foods it's great, their function rooms are beautiful!
The food is not fantastic but for pub meals are reasonable priced

Went here with a group of friends for a birthday. Nice, spacious pub with decent decor and overall ambience was good. Quality of food was good; between us we had a couple of parmas, the mixed grill, the meat lovers pizza and the seafood platter. Food was well cooked and - rare for most pubs - well presented. Service was acceptable, efficient enough. Beers here are standard prices and the outdoor seating is good for people-watching.

Went there for dinner with my family and we all had the worst meal we have had for many years. Basically it was expensive and terrible. The steak was thin and tough, the the seafood marinara was small and had little seafood, the fish was meant to come with roasted vegies and there were specs of vegies on the plate, dont even think about eating there.

won a dinner for 4 at the national got the skeak myself and it was so good well cooked and really enjoyed the meal i was served had a great evening here with great friendly service in relaxing meals dinning area on main highway of street parking easy to find great local plave to eat and catch up with mates neat and classy

The National offers great foodat a great price with fantastic service. Lunch time we are normally seated and have eaten within an hour. The Gnocchi is superb

Not such a good experience, I had the Calamari (great if you like deep fried oil) very ordinary, greasy and not overly tasty. Prices were reasonable, when looking at what you are ordering , until you get to the food quality. We sat outside and service was non existent, in fact at 8pm someone came out and started packing up all the outdoor tables, great way to make people feel comfortable. In short we wont be going back and we wont recommend them to anyone

The food was good. The staff were courteous and polite. We got there just before they started- less waiting time. The food was well cooked but not over done. I will certainly go back again.

The National have good lunchtime deals where you can enjoy a main meal from their lunch menu and a glass of softdrink or wine for only $15. Meals arrive quickly making it a suitable venue for work lunches. Waiting staff are very cheerful and chatty.

Have had meals both in the "Pub" area and the "Seated" area.
The portion sizes were all good, and well balanced with amount of main dish and any sides. Service was prompt and efficient, and the food was very fresh, right off the hot-plate.

Comfortable, what you would expect from bar service and young staff members but the food is excellent and very well priced. The bar atmosphere means this is ideal for aloud noisy group.
