The Pough seems very popular with lots of seating outside so you can watch the market shoppers, and plenty of seating indoors. We thought we would give it ago, it was a lovely sunny day and perfect timing for a cool pint. Disappointing range of ciders available, priced a little higher than neighbouring establishments. There was no wow factor on the menu but the prices did not reflect this, very over priced for pub food. Good place to people watch, but watch your wallet on those prices.
Approximate cost: $32.00
The Plough is the perfect relaxed pub for a Sunday afternoon session. The food is great and there's usually a cover band on. Nice spacious alfresco area and easy bar service. There's usually a really fun atmosphere.
The Plough Inn is an absolutely great place to hang out - whether for a meal or just drinks, it is worth a go.
I have lost count of the number of times I have been here and all the different people I have taken along, over the last 10 or so years. Even my parents-in-law enjoyed our meal there.
A really great atmosphere with a variety of different areas to eat and drink, and frequent live music to sing along to during your stay there. The music is always my favourite element and key reason I always suggest we go there for a drink or any other occasion I can think of.
If you are a huge fan of people watching, like me, even better. You can sit and watch people wander through the Southbank markets, create lives and stories for them and even window shop - all while enjoying a beer :-)
Great pub meals and reasonable priced drinks, grab a seat and check it out next time you are in Southbank.
good food and friendly staff and good atmosphere

One of my favorite places to eat at Southbank, this place is the best. A pub atmosphere with great food and live music, it's great to sit here and watch people walking around the markets. They have great prices for both drink and food and they are always packed. I like to sit upstairs to get away from most of the drinkers and its relaxing to look down on the live bands as they entertain.
this is a great review hope you like what i wrote as it has been a while since i was at this place and i shall return keep up the good work
The food is always great here, large servings so you go away pretty stuffed! Really nice social atmosphere, drinking a few beers with your friends and viewing the markets.
There are times when it can get extremely busy, especially during the weekend lunch service. If you like crowds and noise, this is the place for you. Considering where it is, it is in the heart of South Bank.
GOOD VENUE, NICE FAMILY ATMOSPHERE AND REASONABLE PRICED FOOD AND DRINK
I loved the food at the Plough Inn, we had some of the sure platters between a group of us and everything on them was tasty.
Approximate cost: $15
fantastic atmosphere with live music on the weekend with great food, right next to Brisbane river
Approximate cost: $25
Great pub and a great location. Always a great place to go to for a beer and a good meal. Really good place to sit and watch as the markets are underway at Southbank. Always have such good live music on weekends.
Great pub for corporate functions, I have been to two corporate functions here and it has been a great experience!!
