Tried this place while holidaying. Very nice and took two different roasts away to share. Not quite as good as our home cooked roasts but the pork crackle was great.

Our workplace always get takeaway meals from them, for our party functions and will cater from small to very large orders.
The food is as good as homemade meals and throughly enjoy it.

This is one of our regulars. We often pop in for takeaway and dine-in meals when we're too tired to cook but want a consistently tasty and nutritious meal for the family. It doesn't stop there though as we've used them to cater for functions on a larger scale and our Christmas ham and precooked turkey year after year has been cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, the range of meat and vegetables great (we love the potato!) and the soups, salads and desserts are delicious. The kids love it and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Melbourne could do with more of these.

It's alright to say 'I like the concept of this place'. The concept is great, but the food and service is terrible.

I waited 30MINUTES to get a takeaway roast when the place was nearly empty! The old man carving the meat was more concerned with having a chat with customers than serving food, and the nice French lady at the counter was fluffing around - both of them acted like they didn't care about the customer.

They claim to have 'The best Crackling in Australia', they might be right. It was the saving grace - the rest of the food was average at best. And overpriced for what you get.

I really love the concept of this store and the staff are friendly and helpful. The roasts are also done well and there are a lot of options. The price is a little on the expensive side so you can't go there all the time, the gravy is a bit lack-lustre (more like a sauce) and the apple sauce which is WONDERFUL is in small serves. I do still buy from here when I really want a roast but don't have the time to do one.

I walked by after a naughty stop at the Mc Donalds for a cheeseburger. Unfulfilled I walked in expecting nothing exciting but a roast equivalent to a seniors meal at the local pub. I was very wrong. The place was cosy and I ordered lamb with 2 salads. The gentleman serving was very polite, charming and helpful. I told him I would be sharing the meal and I think he took that into consideration as it was HUGE! Salads were yummy and roast hearty. It isn't close to where I reside, my only regret. Great value, food and service!

Dennis is a friendly,helpful manager who goes out of his way to make sure the meal and day goes perfectly.The food was perfectly cooked and all ready to go when we needed it.

We are regular customers at Roast Kitchen and have never been disappointed with their amazing food and service! They are so good we always order our Christmas roasts from there too! We would be lost without their service on Christmas day!

I've been dropping into the Roast Kitchen after gym for about a year now for one thing: a guy who works there called James. He's tall and beautiful, with an incredibly warm, disarming smile, and I always enjoy flirting with him while he services..um, serves!..me, while my boyfriend looks on. Unfortunately he is quitting this Wednesday to focus on his PhD :(

Food is fine - not really my style. I usually give most to my boyfriend (he likes it).

First & last time at The Roast Chicken Shop. We thought we would give it a go as it looks nice from the outside. The chicken was'nt your normal roast chicken and the skin was not crispy, was too expensive for the quality of bird and no taste. Will not go back!
